For those of you who, like me, can’t wait to see what’s coming up on HBO’s Big Love, below is a press release telling us all about the upcoming March episodes.
Episode #51: “The Noose Tightens”
Debut: SUNDAY, MARCH 6 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT)
Bill (Bill Paxton) looks to Alby’s (Matt Ross) past in an effort to thwart his ambitions, leading Alby to concoct yet another diabolical scheme to bring down the Henricksons. Meanwhile, in the wake of a festering investigation into Bill’s private life, an incredulous Barb (Jeanne Tripplehorn) finds herself targeted as her husband’s accomplice. Nicki’s (Chloë Sevigny) “rescue” of a skittish compound wife complicates life at home, and lands her in hot water at Juniper Creek. Stung by an assertion by Michael Sainte (Grant Show), Margene (Ginnifer Goodwin) finds herself at the crossroads in her business with Goji Blast. Don (Joel McKinnon Miller) suffers emotional aftershocks that could have a lasting impact on Home Plus; Cara Lynn’s (Cassi Thomson) secret leaks out; Heather (Tina Majorino) apologizes for spilling the beans about Margene. Written by Seth Greenland; directed by David Knoller.
Episode #52: “Exorcism”
Debut: SUNDAY, MARCH 13 (9:00-10:00 p.m.)
With Alby on the run and posing an imminent threat, the Henrickson family finds itself in lockdown mode. Frazzled though not incapacitated after a near-death experience, Nicki decides to break Cara Lynn’s “dependencies” by enrolling her in boarding school. Barb spars with Bill about her new church’s stance on polygamy, and her commitment to the family. Lois (Grace Zabriskie) begs Frank (Bruce Dern) to rescue her from confinement; Margene vows to repay Pam (Audrey Wasilewski) for her Goji investment; Ben (Douglas Smith) and Bill debate what to do about Rhonda (Daveigh Chase). Written by Roberto Aquirre-Sacasa; directed by Adam Davidson.
Episode #53: “When Men and Mountains Meet” (series finale)
Debut: SUNDAY, MARCH 20 (9:00-10:00 p.m.)
With the specter of jail time looming, Bill charts out contingency plans for the family, while orchestrating a last-minute preemptive referendum on the senate floor. Meanwhile, Barb goes forward with her plan to join a reform-minded church; Margene contemplates taking a hiatus to serve as a volunteer abroad; and Nicki despairs being left alone as her family splinters. Cara Lynn considers a return to her roots; Ben enlists Rhonda to help him win over Heather; Don shares some bad news with Bill about Home Plus. As Easter arrives, the Henricksons receive heartening support from their polygamist constituents, briefly lifting the dark cloud that’s been hovering over the family since Bill’s election. Finally, an unexpected vision leads Bill to a final confrontation with his most deeply-held beliefs. Written by Mark V. Olsen & Will Scheffer; directed by Dan Attias.
