Dancing with the Stars – The Result Show opened with the judges choosing to have Hines and Kym dance the wonderful Samba they danced last night, but before doing it, Tom Bergeron told them they were safe. Fabulous news, since Hines is one of my top three picks to win the Mirror Ball Trophy!
Sugar Ray and Anna were next to be declared safe. Also safe were Romeo and Chelsie, which surprised me given that Len thought they had taken a big step backward this week.
After the break, Emmy®award-winning band, One Republic, performed their latest hit, “Good Luck,” while Lacey and Dmitry did a beautiful contemporary dance as they sang.
The next couple continuing was Petra and Dmitry, which I was happy about, and Brooke announced Wendy and Tony were in jeopardy. Now that didn’t surprise me at all. If you remember, I predicted yesterday Wendy would be next to go.
All the couples were given cameras to capture what goes on behind the scenes outside of rehearsal. A lot of what we saw was funny, although there were some touching scenes with Hines and his son at Disneyland; Kendra with her husband and son. We also saw Sugar Ray’s son dancing his own version of his dad’s routine, and Wendy on the set of her show, The Wendy Williams Show.
Selena Gomez and The Scene were up next with her top-10 single, “Who Says,” as Mark Ballas and Chelsie Hightower danced along. Selena, soon to be seen in the movie Monte Carlo, looked so pretty, in a beautiful short strapless red gown with a feathered skirt, befitting of her age.
Tom and Brooke announced the pros would be dancing the Jive to “We Got the Beat.” Starting tonight, fans can log onto abc.com to cast their votes for which dances they’d like to see in that routine.
The next couples to learn their fate were Chelsea and Mark and Kendra and Louis. Chelsea and Mark were declared safe, but Kendra and Louis headed into the bottom three.
One Republic returned, along with the Dancing with the Stars Troupe, and performed their smash hit from their album, “Waking Up” – “All the Right Moves.” The band is so very talented, and the Troupe performed a wonderfully synchronized Rumba.
The last three couples were next to find out their fate. Ralph and Karina were safe, Kirstie and Maks were also safe, while Chris and Cheryl were still in jeopardy.
Of the bottom three couples, Wendy and Tony, Kendra and Louis, Ralph and Karina, Wendy and Tony danced their last dance of the competition. I don’t really like to brag but this makes two out of two correct predictions for me!
So dancing fans, let me know in the comment section below if you agree with Wendy going home.
Until next week!
