1/1 (One over One) Gets Release Date from Gravitas Ventures and

Narrator Entertainment

POV Drama starring Lindsey Shaw and Judd Nelson

Comes out July 17 on VOD, DVD and Blu-ray

Los Angeles, CA (May 22, 2018) – Gravitas Ventures and Narrator Entertainment have announced the release of 1/1, a visually daring drama that submerges the viewer into the mind of Lissa (Lindsey Shaw), a 20-year-old girl in rural Pennsylvania and her struggles with sex, drugs, love and loss. Written and directed by Jeremy Phillips, 1/1 will be released July 17 on VOD, DVD and Blu-ray, with extra visual and soundtrack features available on the Blu-ray. The soundtrack was written and produced by the Australian-American rock band, LIARS.

A sharp and unique take on the typical coming-of-age story, the audience experiences Lissa’s personal growth through LIARS’ music and rapid sequences of mixed-media montages contrasted against long single-take passages. The movie was shot both on film and digitally.

“My intention with using these conflicting techniques is to give the audience direct access to Lissa’s emotional state and to visually express the ways in which she reconciles her troubled past with her tense present,” says director Jeremy Phillips.

Lindsey Shaw is best known for her TV roles in ABC’s Pretty Little Liars and Nickelodeon’s Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide. According to Shaw, “Working on 1/1 was one of the most uniquely creative experiences of my career thus far. From my first read of the script, I was mesmerized by this project. The shooting experience was absolutely magical. It’s a testament to the people involved that the raw, emotional, visually compelling components of the script translated to the finished product.”

Judd Nelson found himself drawn to the unique project as well. The Breakfast Club and St. Elmo’s Fire star explains, “The brain processes information in many ways, most of which we have scant, if any, knowledge of-especially as it’s happening. Director Jeremy Phillips incorporates a unique stew of visual representation making the emotional state of the film compellingly watchable.”

Rounding out the cast is Dendrie Taylor from The Fighter, HBO’s Room 104 and the hit FX series, Sons of Anarchy,

1/1 is Phillips’s feature film debut. He co-wrote the feature Dig Two Graves, which was released theatrically and on Netflix. He has directed short films, music videos and commercials, and directed/co-wrote the web series We Got Issues, released on Verizon’s go90 app and the Complex Networks. The film was produced by Cassidy Lunnen (Baby, Baby, Baby; The Go-Getter).
