HBO is going above and beyond in its marketing technique for season four of True Blood. Beginning this Sunday, May 29, 2011, HBO Go® users will be treated to a sneak peek of the show’s highly anticipated first episode. It’s only a few minutes, but I’m sure it’ll be worth it for Monday morning water cooler talk.
HBO GO® USERS GET SNEAK PEEK AT THE FIRST SEVERAL MINUTES OF
TRUE BLOOD, SEASON 4, STARTING THIS SUNDAY
Starting this SUNDAY, MAY 29, HBO GO® users will get a sneak peek at the first 3 minutes of the highly anticipated season four premiere episode of TRUE BLOOD, entitled “She’s Not There.” Fans will be treated to several additional minutes of the season four debut episode on HBO GO on SUNDAY, JUNE 5 and SUNDAY, JUNE 12, building on the excitement surrounding the series’ return.
HBO GO can be accessed at hbogo.com or via the HBO GO app – now available for download on Apple’s iPad®, iPhone® and iPod touch® and numerous smartphones using Google’s Android
operating system – and is free of charge to HBO subscribers through participating television providers.
The TRUE BLOOD season 4 premiere episode, “She’s Not There,” debuts on the main HBO channel on SUNDAY, JUNE 26 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT).
Mixing romance, suspense, mystery and humor, TRUE BLOOD takes place in the not-too-distant future, when vampires have come out of the coffin, thanks to the invention of mass-produced synthetic blood that means they no longer need humans as a nutritional source. The series follows the on-and-off romance between waitress and part-faerie Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin), who can hear people’s thoughts, and 173-year-old vampire Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer). Alan Ball (creator of the Emmy®-winning HBO series “Six Feet Under”) created and executive produces the show, which is based on the bestselling Sookie Stackhouse novels by Charlaine Harris.
