LOS ANGELES, CA (March 31, 2014) – With her marriage in crisis, tabloids and gossip sites have been speculating for months about Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott.  Now, the real story will be told as it should be, by Tori Spelling herself, in the new Lifetime docu-series, True Tori, premiering Tuesday, April 22 at 10pm ET/PT.  Airing just three short weeks after cameras begin filming, the show will document the couple in almost real-time as they navigate the unknown road ahead, beginning when Dean leaves treatment.

Growing up as part of Hollywood royalty, Tori has always lived her life in the public eye.  The world watched as Tori and Dean fell in love and became parents to four beautiful children.  But Tori’s fairytale life came crashing down when reports of Dean’s infidelity hit the tabloids last December, throwing their marriage and family into crisis.

Now, in a unique television event, Tori has made the courageous decision to allow the audience to witness the most difficult and unpredictable period in her life.  Intimate, raw, emotional and completely real, Tori will tell her story for the first time as it should be told – by her.  Since viewers will be seeing events almost immediately after they occur, nobody knows how the drama will unfold – not Tori, not Dean – and only time will tell if Tori and Dean’s marriage survives.

Produced by Studio Lambert and All3Media America, six one-hour episodes of the series have been ordered. Tori Spelling, Dean McDermott, Robert Sizemore of Big Country Entertainment and Greg Goldman, Eli Holzman and Stephen Lambert of Studio Lambert/All3Media America serve as executive producers.  Lifetime’s Eli Lehrer, Mary Donahue and Paul Hardy also executive produce.
