CHANNEL MARKS ANNIVERSARY OF THE 1947 ROSWELL ALIEN CRASH WITH ORIGINAL MOVIE INVASION ROSWELL THURSDAY AUGUST 8 AT 9PM
NEW YORK – July 16, 2013 – First sharks fall from the sky and eat lots of people. Now a dead shark seeks revenge on the entire human race. Where will it all end?
In the new Syfy Original Movie Ghost Shark, premiering Thursday, August 22 at 9PM (ET/PT), a great white shark is tortured and killed by a fisherman, then returns from the dead, exacting vengeance on all humans. When Ava’s (Mackenzie Rosman/7th Heaven) father is brutally murdered, no one believes that the ghost shark got him – except the crazy lighthouse keeper Finch (Richard Moll/Night Court). Ava and her friends take the problem into their own hands as they desperately try to survive the bloody wrath of the ghost shark. Ghost Shark is a production of Active Entertainment.
The Syfy Original Movie month kicks off on Thursday, August 8 at 9PM (ET/PT) with Invasion Roswell, marking the anniversary of the famous July 1947 incident when some claim the U.S. Government covered-up the crash-landing of an alien spacecraft in Roswell, New Mexico.
In the movie, after the American Army shot down the UFO, they secretly trained elite commandos to deal with the aliens’ feared return. However, the extra-terrestrials never came back and the elite force was disbanded. Sixty-six years later, the aliens are invading Earth and only the over-the-hill retired commandos can stop them. A production of UFO Films, Invasion Roswell stars Greg Evigan (Melrose Place) and Denise Crosby (Star Trek: The Next Generation).
