SYFY’S SECOND ANNUAL COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS WEEK, AIRING DECEMBER 4-10, WILL FEATURE MINISERIES NEVERLAND; STAND-ALONE HOLIDAY EPISODES OF HIT SERIES –EUREKA, WAREHOUSE 13, HAVEN, AND GHOST HUNTERS; SATURDAY ORIGINAL MOVIE SNOWMAGEDDON
ORLANDO — October 10, 2011 – Syfy will celebrate the holiday season with its second annual Countdown to Christmas Week (December 4-10) featuring the two night miniseries Neverland, stand-alone holiday episodes of hit series Eureka, Warehouse 13, Haven and Ghost Hunters, and the Saturday Original Movie Snowmageddon.
Highlights of Syfy’s Countdown to Christmas Week
Neverland — Sunday, December 4 at 9PM & Monday, December 5 at 9PM (ET/PT) – This original prequel to author J.M. Barrie’s classic sweeps in time from the turbulent seas of the pirates of the Caribbean and the back alleys of Dickensian London to a world of pure imagination. The film stars Rhys Ifans as James Hook; Oscar nominee Keira Knightley as the voice of Tinker Bell; Anna Friel as Captain Elizabeth Bonny; Oscar nominee Bob Hoskins as Smee (who previously played the character in Steven Spielberg’s feature ); Raoul Trujillo as Holy Man; and Charlie Rowe as one of literature’s most cherished characters, Peter Pan. Neverland is produced by Dublin-based Parallel Films on behalf of MNG Films, in association with and Sky Movies HD, and will be distributed by RHI Entertainment.
Eureka, Warehouse 13 and Haven – Tuesday, December 6 from 8-11PM – Syfy’s scripted series get into the spirit of the season with Eureka’s first ever animated episode including guest star Jim Parsons (Big Bang Theory) at 8PM, Warehouse 13’s “It’s a Wonderful Life” homage at 9PM, and a Christmas fantasy which makes the residents of Haven disappear, one by one, airing at 10PM.
Ghost Hunters – Wednesday, December 7 at 9PM – Jason and Grant hunt for the ghosts of Christmas past in this special holiday edition.
Saturday Original Movie Snowmageddon – Saturday, December 10 at 9PM – Michael Hogan (Battlestar Galactica) David Cubitt (Medium) and Magda Apanowicz (Caprica) star in the story about a mystical snow globe that makes very bad things happen in the real world when it is shaken. The movie is a production of Cinetel.
