“I’m infatuated with the story of when World War II came to American shores,” says Stonestreet. “It’s not very often you get to stand where history happened. It is such an honor to be able to walk in the footsteps of World War II veterans – to stop and honor those who helped shape our history and our future.”

Stonestreet begins his nostalgic World War II adventure in Oahu, Hawaii, where he boards a vintage bi-plane and retraces the historic route the Japanese attack fleet flew over Battleship Row. At the Pacific Aviation Museum, he witnesses the restoration of vintage WWII aircrafts and receives an exclusive tour of Pearl Harbor. In the Alaska leg, he explores the significance of the battle of Dutch Harbor from the site of a commercial vessel shipwreck and military barracks in the hills of Mount Ballyhoo. His tour ends in Seattle, where Stonestreet meets a World War II veteran who inspires him to take flight in a perfectly restored B17 bomber plane, getting a small taste of the war that changed America forever.

“Celebrity Adventure Club” is executive produced by Emmy award-winning Mark Herzog and Christopher G. Cowen for Herzog & Company.
