Bo reassures Lauren she’s enough

Seriously, humans and Succubi cannot be enduring romantic partners. Monogamy is not in Bo’s (Anna Silk) vocabulary but she’s willing to make a go of it with Lauren (Zoie Palmer). Like Kenzi (Ksenia Solo), Lauren’s humanness will be her undoing—she’s in for a world of hurt if she thinks she can set down a ground rule like “No Dyson.” No DICE, lady. Seeing her put down her foot like this with Bo—and Bo eating it up because she’s desperate to hold on to Lauren—pisses me off! Dyson (Kris Holden-Ried) still hasn’t told Bo his love for her has returned, and I wish he’d just tell her already. At least he offers to heal Bo when he sees her huge bruise and how weak she is: “It’s either me or an ambulance.”How chivalrous! Her marathon sessions with Lauren are no match for Bo’s passions with my wolf man. The thing is, how does Bo not notice the difference in Dyson’s demeanor from last season, when his feelings for her were null and void? The difference is quite noticeable, and Bo is hardly a clueless sort of person. I blame Lauren and her neediness. Ack, humans!

Not to mention how Lauren gets all high and mighty when she finds out Bo goes undercover as a couples therapist to weed out a suicide Fae. Isn’t she aware this is how Bo solves mysteries? Bo never turns down Dyson when he asks for a favor, and vice versa. This is why they make such a great team. And don’t get me started on how Lauren sort of calls Bo stupid for not having a higher education.

Kenzi is feeling shut out of her friends’ lives

We are finally seeing the effects of Kenzi’s (Ksenia Solo) deal last season with the Norn. Her arm is being consumed from the inside out, and what a frightful sight!  She won’t be able to hide it for long. Solo is pro at facial expressions; she can go from frightened to ecstatic with just a snap of the fingers. I expect Dyson to come to the rescue since Bo is distracted by Lauren’s neediness. Can you tell I’m starting to like Lauren less and less? Let her go back to solving medical mysteries, and leave it at that. Please.

Det. Hale, a.k.a. the Ash (K.C. Collins), is doing a fine job in his new role but I sort of miss him being Dyson’s sidekick. Although, his new role affords him the chance to showcase his sense of fairness. The thorn in his side, though, is Kenzi, who unwittingly sabotages a hugely important meeting with an elder. I don’t blame Trick (Rick Howland) for getting pissed at him because it helps Hale see he cannot be distracted from his important duties. Being the Ash is serious business.

I knew I liked Tamsin (Rachel Skarsten) the minute she stepped on screen. She’s tough, butts heads beautifully with Dyson, and most likely will be competition for Bo. I predict she and Dyson will end up sucking face and more, even though she knows how much Dyson yearns for Bo. But is Tamsin interested in him that way—yet? It’d be a pleasant surprise if the writers don’t give us a love triangle; I’d be quite happy with that. I’ll always be a Bo and Dyson shipper.

Bo talks Dyson out of flying off the building

I just have to mention the scene where Bo talks Dyson (believing he’s a Griffin) out of diving off the roof of a building. There’s no threat of Dyson becoming a casualty like the other suicides but seeing what Bo says to him (“You are the wolf—strong, fast, fierce”), and how much she cares about him? That was excellently played out. Silk does a fine job here. Of course, it’s yet another opportunity for Dyson to doff his shirt, something Holden-Ried seems to have no qualms about doing. Lucky for us!
