News/Video: Bravo’s Limited Series Dirty John Premieres November 25
Julia Garner (“Ozark”) and Juno Temple (“Vinyl,” “Wonder Wheel,” “Black Mass”) have joined the cast of Bravo Media’s “Dirty John” as the daughters of Debra Newell (Connie Britton), who are both skeptical about their mother’s relationship with John Meehan (Eric Bana). Joining the previously announced Jean Smart who will play Debra’s mother Arlane, Garner will star as Terra Newell, while Temple will star as Veronica Newell. The scripted anthology series, based on the articles and breakout true crime podcast of the same name from Los Angeles Times reporter Christopher Goffard, tells the true story of how Debra’s romance with the charismatic John Meehan spiraled into secrets, denial and manipulation.

News: TNT Orders Ridley Scott’s Raised by Wolves Straight to Series
Turner’s TNT has greenlit straight to series Raised By Wolves, a serialized sci-fi series from master storyteller and filmmaker Ridley Scott (The Martian, Blade Runner, Alien: Covenant), who will also mark his television directorial debut with the series. Raised by Wolves centers upon two androids tasked with raising human children on a mysterious virgin planet. As the burgeoning colony of humans threatens to be torn apart by religious differences, the androids learn that controlling the beliefs of humans is a treacherous and difficult task.

DEADLY CLASS is set in the counter-culture of the late 1980s and tells the story of a teenager who is recruited into an elite private school filled with the children of crime families and affluent criminals. It’ll track these social circles as they try to survive “ruthless curriculum, vicious social cliques” and the adolescent uncertainties that transcend even the most dangerous of high school settings. Put simply, high school has never been this deadly. The network describes the project as a “coming of age journey full of ancient mystery and teen angst.”

Video/News: Freeform’s Mermaid Drama Siren Season 2 Premieres Jan 24
Freeform announced that the sophomore season of the critically acclaimed mermaid drama “SIREN” will premiere on THURSDAY, JAN. 24. Executive Producers Emily Whitesell and Eric Wald also announced a contest where fans of the show can enter for a chance to swim with the mermaids on the set of “Siren” and have his or her photo featured in the show. Launching on Oct. 18, Freeform will select a winner from among the top 10 most voted photos. This spring, the winner will be flown to Vancouver to visit the set.
