Review: Bones, Season 6, Ep 18 – “The Feet on the Beach”
Ah, the sweet stench of ‘de-FEET.’ “The Feet on the Beach” – after seven pairs of dismembered feet wash up on the shore of the US-Canada border, Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan (Emily Deschanel) run into some interference when a one of the pairs ends up on the Canadian side. The scorned Dr. Fillmore (guest star Scott Lowell), resident Canadian forensic podiatrist, refuses to relinquish them to Brennan.

Review: The Vampire Diaries, Season 2, Ep 17 – “Know Thy Enemy”
How long has it been since the last The Vampire Diaries episode? So long that I don’t remember what happened in that last episode except Isobel (Mia Kirshner) showing up at Elena’s (Nina Dobrev) front door. That little ending left me on my toes and I was more than excited to find out what she’s …

Movie Review – “Source Code”
“Source Code” is a glitsy, science fiction version of Harold Ramis’ comedy, “Groundhog Day” combined with the twist you would find in “Twilight Zone.” Gyllenhaal does an admirable job with this movie, which is a relief given the amount of flops he’s been in recently. He captures the nuances of his character beautifully, whether it’s Capt. Stevens or Sean.

Showtime’s “Homeless” and “House of Lies” Get Full Orders
I remember the days when all the good tv was on broadcast networks, and the premium channels were reserved for movies that you either didn’t get a chance to catch at the movies, or couldn’t afford to go to. No so anymore. Back in 2010, Showtime announced they were greenlighting two new series, “Homeland” and “House of Lies.” Today, they announced both series have received 12-episode orders and will begin production this summer.

Mildred Pierce, Parts 4 and 5, Sunday, April 10
While many have complained the Depression-era drama, “Mildred Pierce,” is too slow, as have I, I’m still interested enough to find out how the show ends. Mildred opens another restaurant; she throws Veda out of the house after an argument; she marries Monty and makes up with Veda; all leading up to a shocking revelation that changes Mildred’s life forever.

Review, Nurse Jackie, Season 3, Episode 2 – “Enough Rope”
Directed beautifully by Steve Buscemi, fighting to keep friends is a recurrent theme throughout “Enough Rope.” Jackie (Edie Falco) is struggling to hold onto her best friend, Dr. O’Hara (Eve Best). Coop (Peter Facinelli) is trying to make amends with Sam (Arjun Gupta), while Eddie (Paul Schulze) wants to hold onto his friendship with Kevin (Dominic Fumusa), sans lies. And so it goes on another wonderful episode of “Nurse Jackie.”

Hines Ward Rises to the Top – Recap/Review – “Dancing with the Stars” – Week 3
This week, the dancers had to choose songs to dance to that mean something to them. To give everyone an idea of what the judges are looking for, the Dance Troupe started us off. Tristan and Nicole did a perfectly executed Paso Doble, while Ted and Peta danced a very sensual Rumba. Kiki and Oksana did a very lively Samba with some pretty awesome Samba rolls!

Advance Review – United States of Tara, Season 3, Ep 1 “…youwillnotwin…”
This is a fantastically darkly funny, sarcastic, and completely addictive series! I love it! My favorite dysfunctional and absolutely lovable D.I.D. patient, Tara (Toni Collette), is back for an all new season filled with more drama, sarcasm, and darkly humorous antics than you can fit into a psych ward!

Advance Review – Nurse Jackie, Season 3, Episode 1 – “Game On”
I wondered last year where the writers would take Jackie this year given that the cat was out of the bag, so to speak. Would she lose her job, get divorced, go into rehab? Fear not fans, she’s still the same pill-popping, complicated and frustrating woman she’s always been. And “Game On” is an excellent season opener, giving us a wonderful mix of light wit, dark humor and drama.

It’s a TKO for FX’s “Lights Out”
I’m upset. And I’m sure there are a lot of boxing fans out there who are as disappointed as I am at the news that FX has cancelled another one of its new series, “Lights Out.” (“Terriers” was the other.) I was thoroughly enjoying the show as it delved deeper into the life of former champion ‘Lights’ Leary (Holt McCallany) and his family. “Rich development of…characters and stories,” “compelling boxing drama,” and “sharp writing” are just a few of the accolades this show has received in its short lifetime. Unfortunately, they weren’t enough.
