Cathy (Laura Linney) keeps her missing fingernails a secret from her “mole-mate” Lee (guest star Hugh Dancy); Sean (John Hickey) and Adam (Gabriel Basso) bring a live turkey for dinner; Myk (Boyd Holbrook) professes his love for Andrea (Gabourey Sidibe); And Rebecca (Cynthia Nixon) and Sean get engaged.

Recap/Review: The Real Housewives of New Jersey, S3, E13 – “Child’s Play No More”
Finally, things come to a head with Ashley and her parents. It’s about time this kid is put in her place. Speaking of kids — Oh. My. God. If my kids were as bad as Teresa’s, I’d shoot myself! All they have to do is pose for pictures for Teresa’s newest cookbook, “Fabulicious,” and everyone can go home. But no. They have to cry and fuss. Teresa is really wearing rose-colored glasses if she thinks her girls are good.

Review: #Haven , Season 2, Ep. 5 “Roots” (Mystery, greed, jealousy, and #Twitter…?)
“Roots” keeps me rooted to my seat! Mysterious disappearances, decades old family drama, greed, jealousy, humor, and sex – what more could you ask for? It’s also the first Twitter-integrated episode. As Audrey gets closer to Chris, Nathan is left alone in the barn…And who is Evi calling after Duke declines her offer to run away to Mexico?

TV News: TNT Renews “Leverage” for a Fifth Season
It’s not surprising to me that TNT has renewed its fast-paced drama Leverage. It grows in viewership each season, and rightfully so. It’s a modern day Robin Hood, if you will, and who doesn’t love stories that involve taking from the rich and giving to the poor. Especially in this day and age when so many people are struggling to keep their heads above water. Leverage is such a fun show and I couldn’t be happier.

TV News and Clip: Like to Be Scared? FX Wants You to “Let Them In”
I don’t know about you, but I’m scared – just from watching the “clues” FX has been sending about its new fall series, American Horror Story. So I can’t wait to watch the series which premieres Wednesday, October 5 at 10:00 pm ET/PT. I mean, who doesn’t love a good thriller? Remember how scared you were when you first saw Friday the 13th or Scream? Now fans are getting a chance to be just as scared as the characters on the show, simply by letting FX in.

Review: #WilfredFX , Season 1, Ep. 8 “Anger” (Dead Rats, Possessed Dogs, and 20 yr old lies)
Ryan is having a recurring dream about his childhood dog Sneakers; Wilfred vies for Kristen’s attention after Ryan mentions she hates him – and what says “I adore you” better than a dead rodent? And has Sneakers come back to avenge his death? I love the little morality lessons that are peppered into each episode of Wilfred.

TV News: USA Picks Up “Suits” for a Second Season
As one of my favorite shows this summer, I was very happy to hear the news today that USA has renewed Suits for a second season. From the very first episode, I was hooked, and in my Advance Review of the new series, wrote “Suits grabbed me from the opening scene and kept me interested and amused throughout the entire hour. I thoroughly enjoyed the show. The writing is sharp and witty and the characters perfectly acted. While the show has a serious undertone to it, it’s lighthearted enough to make this a very pleasant and enjoyable show, fitting perfectly into USA’s network of characters.” I think I hit the proverbial nail right on the head.

Review: Rescue Me, S7, E5 – “Head”
I don’t want to ruin the fun you’ll have watching everyone’s plans come to fruition. I will tell you it involves getting dirt on Keppler, a free-for-all at a bar between the cops and the firefighters, figuring out the name of the guy Mike slept with and confronting him, and an award-winning performance by Callie Thorne for delivering the blows that end Tommy’s suspension. You just can’t keep a good man down. Wait. Did I say ‘good?’

Review: The Big C, Season 2, Ep 7 “Goldilocks and the Bears” (Mole-Mates, Bears, and 24/7 Masturbation?)
Lee (Hugh Dancy) likes “bears”; Cathy’s (Laura Linney) blood pressure is rising and realizes Lee is her “mole-mate”; Paul (Oliver Platt) throws his back out but is saved by an unlikely ‘bear-ish’ hero; Andrea (Gabourey Sidibe) and Myk (Boyd Holbrook) go on their first date; and Marlene (Phyllis Somerville) gets in the tub with Cathy.

Review: White Collar, S3, E10 – “Countdown” – Mid-Season Finale
White Collar draws taut the strings of anticipation in a tensely-wrought, well-played mid-season finale. “Countdown” reminds us just who these lead characters are – “Gotham City’s finest Cop and Robber” – while at the same time forcing each man to decide who they want to be. And the way everything comes together at the end of this episode is going to make waiting for the winter premiere excruciating.

Review: #FallingSkies, Season 1, Finale, Pt 1 “Mutiny” Pt 2 “Eight Hours”
From the beginning, I was intrigued by the premise of Falling Skies.Throughout the entire season, I’ve been asking myself questions about why the aliens invaded Earth. Just as we feel we are the superior beings, the aliens may feel the same way. Ours is not so unlike their behavior. We as humans have committed the same acts throughout history by invading other countries and oppressing other people just because one race feels superior to another. Is Falling Skies a cleverly disguised metaphor for prejudice?

TV News: HBO2’s New Documentary, “Madonna of the Mills,” Premieres August 24
America has a terrible secret: 99% of the puppies sold in U.S. pet stores come from puppy mills, and nearly 100% of them have parasites at the time of purchase. Pet stores around the country sell dogs riddled with infections and ailments because their parents are housed in inhumane facilities, relentlessly bred and then callously discarded.

Review: The Glades, S2, E9 – “Iron Pipeline”
Centering the story on a focal point that drew this viewer to the show in the first place, The Glades delivers an emotional crime-solving episode with “Iron Pipeline.” It may seem odd to some for a police drama to have an anti-gun message of sorts; nevertheless, I think the episode is handled very well.
