Ah… so there’s more than meets the eye when it comes to solving this murder. I swear, every time we take a step forward… well, you know.

God Returns and Chaos is Everywhere. Review: Nurse Jackie – “Are Those Feathers?”
With Eddie (Paul Schulze) and Gloria (Anna Deavere Smith) being fired last week, the nurses at All Saints are wearing commemorative arm bands and have set up a collection jar on their behalf. I’m not sure whether Dr. Cruz (Bobby Cannavale) is stressed or if he’s just plain spiteful when he demands they get rid of the jar and “lose the arm bands. No one died.” I’d like to say his Hitler-esque behavior is stress-induced, but I honestly think the man is callous and cruel. Looks like everyone needs to stay on their best behavior if they want to keep their jobs.

It’s Off Season for the NY Hawks. Review: Necessary Roughness – “Shrink or Swim”
When last we saw Terrence “TK” King ((Mehcad Brooks), he was being rushed to the hospital after being shot by a crazed fan. As “Shrink or Swim” opens, he’s fighting for his life in the operating room. Of course he makes it but it’s what he says as he’s wheeled out of surgery that sets the tone for this second season premiere, telling me the wry sarcasm and witty dialogue of the first season of Necessary Roughness is back. “I ain’t dead yet, bitches.”

The Boys are Back and Up to Their Usual Hijinks. Review: Franklin & Bash, S2 E1 – “Strange Brew”
As “Strange Brew” opens, our fearless heroes, the fun-loving legal duo of Jared Franklin (Breckin Meyer) and Peter Bash (Mark-Paul Gosselaar), are in court using some very unusual, seemingly life-threatening tactics to win a case. Cut to the offices of Infeld Daniels where Stanton Infeld (Malcolm McDowell) announces to the partners that the firm’s experiment with Franklin & Bash (F&B) is over. This can’t possibly be true, can it? Of course not! What Stanton means is he wants to ask Jared and Peter to become full equity partners. While F&B’s initial response is comedic, they soon learn two-thirds of the partnership has to vote them in, and that might be a problem.

Review: Girls – “Weirdos Need Girlfriends Too”– Can Marnie Be Spontaneous and is Adam Stupid, Weird or both?
“Weirdos Need Girlfriends Too” seems to suggest there must be someone for everyone in this world. Is that really true and what level of weird are we referring to? This week, the series explores if the romantic ideal holds any weight, not only for Hannah (Lena Dunham) but for Marnie (Allison Williams) and Jessa (Jemima Kirke) too.

Have your cake and eat it too… Review: The Borgias “Truth and Lies”
What I loved about “Truth and Lies” were Cesare’s sinister demeanor and the fear in Juan’s eyes. The Pope seems a bit put off by Juan’s recent behavior and, for a brief moment, I hoped the Pope would push the blade into Juan’s throat but instead he just felt sorry for his son. Admittedly, without Juan, there’d be no antagonism in Cesare’s storyline. With only two episodes left, I hope the animosity between Cesare and Juan comes to a head.

Hot and Cold Feelings Abound. Review: Nurse Jackie – “Chaud & Froid”
As season four begins to wind down, there are major changes underfoot at All Saints. “Chaud & Froid,” the French term for hot and cold, not only deals with the water Jackie (Edie Falco) and Dr. Cruz (Bobby Cannavale) use to revive Charlie (Jake Cannavale) from his drug overdose, but with some vacillating feelings between Jackie and Zoey (Merritt Wever), and Dr. O’Hara (Eve Best) and Coop (Peter Facinelli). This very interesting installment perfectly sets up what’s to come in the remaining two episodes of this amazing season.

Review: Girls – “Welcome to Bushwick a.k.a The Crackcident”– Best Warehouse Party Ever
Marnie (Allison Williams), Hannah (Lena Dunham) and Jessa (Jemima Kirke) head to a warehouse party and their arrival marks the start of an eventful evening. With “all of Brooklyn and two-thirds of Manhattan” already at the party, they run into familiar faces but their interactions are anything but usual.

Star-Crossed Lovers? Review: Lost Girl – “It’s Better to Burn Out Than Fae Away”
Both Dark and Light Fae complain that Bo hasn’t chosen sides, but that actually works in their favor because she usually solves their cases. Besides, who can they trust besides Bo to investigate without bias? When will Bo get the thanks she deserves? She’s the only noncommittal Fae they can rely on. She’s loyal to herself and to Kenzi.
