The Karma Bank: Turning Players into Kings – Review: Sons of Anarchy, S5 E4 – “Stolen Huffy”
Sons of Anarchy’s season five hadn’t reached its midpoint when series creator Kurt Sutter decided to ship off a leading character. The SAMCRO members are in turmoil as a consequence of losing Opie (Ryan Hurst), and Sutter doesn’t waste time cranking up the emotional dial further. Starting with this week’s episode, it looks like the Charming folks won’t forget about Opie’s death any time soon.

No Ring Around The Rosie…Review: Warehouse 13, S4, Mid-Season Finale “We All Fall Down”
Tissues handy? Check. If you are a die-hard fan of Warehouse 13 like I am, experiencing the emotional discovery of Leena’s (Genelle Williams) lifeless body will have you sobbing as much as Myka (Joanne Kelly), Pete (Eddie McClintock), and Claudia (Allison Scagliotti). I think the most unbelievable part about Leena’s death is not that she’s actually dead but that Artie (Saul Rubinek) is the murderer. Sure, it’s not the real Artie but his psychotic evil doppelganger that resides within him—nonetheless, he’s the trigger man and that’s a tough pill for our team to swallow.

Lies and Betrayal. Review: Copper – “The Hudson River School”
Elizabeth (Anastasia Griffith) is in hot water with Corky (Tom Weston-Jones). There was no reason for her to lie about Annie’s (Kiara Glasco) whereabouts so why did she? Her excuse, as told to Morehouse (Kyle Schmid), is flimsy. I’m still puzzling over it but now Corky knows she lied to him and she’s in shreds over it.

As Thrilling and Addictive As Ever. Review: Homeland Season Premiere – “The Smile”
If I had any doubt that Homeland wouldn’t come back as strong as the first season, I can now put that to rest. “The Smile” is a perfect opening for what appears to be another heart-racing, tension-filled season replete with moral equivocation and personal relationships fraught with secrets and lies. It is as addictive as ever.

Murder in the Warehouse! Review: Warehouse 13, S4 “The Ones You Love”
The evil of Artie’s (Saul Rubinek) own making becomes deadlier than I imagined. Not only have artifacts gone missing—causing mayhem in the world—but now the team’s families are involved and getting caught in the line of fire. As Myka (Joanne Kelly), Pete (Eddie McClintock), and Claudia (Allison Scagliotti) race to save their loved ones, Jinks (Aaron Ashmore) joins Mrs. Frederic (CCH Pounder) in Rome as they try to find clues within the Vatican walls.

TV News: Warehouse 13 Battles One of Their Own In the Shocking Mid-Season Finale
Jack Kenny, Executive Producer, Warehouse 13: “In a surprising and thrilling culmination of the evil that Artie created when he used Magellan’s Astrolabe in the season premiere, Eddie, Myka, Claudia and Steve chase Artie across the world to prevent him from unleashing a far worse menace on humanity.”

Close Encounters of the Troubled Kind. Review: Haven, S3 “301”
Close encounters…of the troubled kind is what’s in store for Havenites. An alien abduction, magnetic fields, invisible forces attacking, crop circles, and lights in the sky—is Haven being invaded by space aliens, or is this the work of a “troubled” mind? As Duke (Eric Balfour) points out, “Everything that’s happening now, happened before.”
