“One Night Stand” will leave you feeling a bit parched and waterlogged all at the same time. “One Night Stand” is interesting in that it provides not only a new species of Wesen but also highlights Nick’s (David Giuntoli) newly enhanced Grimm powers. I feel, however, like it is a filler episode with a lackluster fight scene on the docks. I’m also getting an uneasy feeling about Nick’s Grimm prowess being heightened because something just isn’t right about it.

Patrick Wolcott (Zachary Booth), a young runaway, returns after 15 years to spend time with his dying father William (Richard Thomas). But Elizabeth Burke (Tiffani Thiessen) isn’t convinced the young man is the same little boy she used to tutor. Neal (Matt Bomer) is sent in as the new butler to try to figure out if Patrick is who he says he is or someone after the massive trust fund Patrick is set to inherit.

I was expecting to love “Death and the Maiden” more than I did. The overwhelming emotion wrought from the characters should have been enough to engage me, but I found my attention waning at times.

Although there is a saying, “Seeing is believing,” sometimes, you simply can’t believe what you’ve just witnessed with your own two eyes. Then again, many have blind faith in a God they’ve never seen. There are also those who believe in something many say doesn’t exist…like ghosts or the paranormal. I think Sleepy Hollow gives us many examples of all the above in “The Midnight Ride.”

Witches of East End outdoes itself again with “Potentia Noctis,” an episode so chock full of sex, intrigue, and magic, it leaves some lives fair game for ultimate disaster. “Potentia Noctis” is not only a game changer, putting all the pieces of the puzzle together about the elusive shape-shifter, but it sheds light on the cause for Joanna (Julia Ormond) and Wendy’s (Mädchen Amick) 100-year estrangement.

“And if you want to be invited into my territory again, you might want to re-think that.” – Kate Beckett. To be honest, I wasn’t completely thrilled with “A Murder is Forever,” but it was certainly a big step up from last week’s “Like Father, Like Daughter.” I won’t even light that fire again. Although “A Murder is Forever” has a lot of things going for it, including a few good Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic) scenes, one huge action-packed interlude, and an overall twisty murder investigation, however there are a few things that fell flat for me.

Thor: The Dark World was just released in movie theaters nationwide this past weekend, and FX has already acquired the rights to the blockbuster movie. Other new acquisitions include Gravity and Captain Phillips, along with other hit films such as Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2, and Prisoners. Travel Channel has greenlit production of five new original series. They include two hosted series, “Eat Secrets” (wt) with foodie Adam Richman and “Resort Recon”(wt), hosted by renowned hospitality consultant Shane Green; plus three additional series under the “Secrets & Legends” umbrella. This new franchise will have dedicated series focusing on a specific type of destination: castles, hotels and national parks.

Just when I think I have an idea of what’s happening on Haven, “William” blows my theories to smithereens. “William” is a fantastic, mind-blowing episode that will have your jaws aching from being dropped to the floor, and your eyes and ears straining to make sure you don’t miss a single electrifying moment! Beware, things are not as they seem.

I’m going to just come out and say it—this episode simply did not work for me on many levels but I’m not 100% sure why. Something feels off and I don’t know whether it’s because the writers are setting the characters up for something big (like an emotional breakdown for someone) or something else entirely.

An unappetizing quote leads us into a macabre episode of culinary frights. “A Dish Best Served Cold” is quite gruesome in its subject matter with tension slowly building from the opening scene to the end. I found myself unable to turn away from the screen because something major was going down and I didn’t want to miss a single second.

Syfy will shake up the Thanksgiving Weekend (November 28-December 1) with its annual two day James Bond marathon featuring a dozen movies featuring an assortment of James Bonds. Syfy will also “beam down” a Star Trek marathon of six films, rounding out the holiday festivities with Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
