On Wednesday, March 12, 2014, I had the distinct pleasure of once again interviewing Josh Berman, creator, writer, and executive producer of Lifetime’s hit series, Drop Dead Diva. He is such a sincere and personable man, it felt like I was speaking with my best friend. He even gave me his personal email address! (I’m not giving it out so don’t ask!) “Wrong Roads” isn’t a filler episode like “Whistle Past the Graveyard,” but it isn’t a great episode either. While “Wrong Roads” gives us some closure on a storyline or two, it drags out other storylines, making me roll my eyes with exasperation. I see some double crosses coming across the Mexican border in the form of the Crowes. But one of them surprises me by finally getting the gumption to do something drastic to remedy his situation. Way to go, Dewey (Damon Herriman)!

In the conference call, Lee talks about how he did his homework for this upcoming episode, “Mommy Dearest,” in which a Filipino folklore comes to life. “So when I saw this script I actually went through it and marked it and logged about 100 hours of homework before I started shooting this particular episode.” 100 hours of homework! That’s dedication! He talks about his native Filipino folklore coming to life and talks a little about season one where Wu was literally a human garbage disposal eating couch cushions, carpet, quarters, and paper clips…but what was he really eating?
