The Strain – “The Box” Review. Bath Time Is Not Fun Time.
The Strain continues along its dark and creepy path with “The Box.” As we’ve learned from the series premiere, “Night Zero,” something infected 210 people aboard an airplane. Toward the end of “Night Zero,” the presumably dead passengers make a comeback. As we find out in “The Box,” the strange worms seem to like blood – but I don’t think they discriminate between species.

Falling Skies “Mind Wars” – Top Three Moments.
Anne (Moon Bloodgood) has her hands full in the not so tranquil sanctuary of China Town. The Espheni overlord is playing a dirty mind game with poor Ben (Connor Jessup) and when Anne decides to stop playing nice, it’s Ben who bears the brunt. Lexi (Scarlett Byrne) does something quite shocking but I think we all knew it was going to happen sooner or later. Meanwhile, Tom (Noah Wyle), Weaver (Will Patton), and young Matt (Maxim Knight) are heading out to find where Hal (Drew Roy) and the rest of the crew went but are sidetracked when two men take Tom prisoner.

Ray Donovan – “Uber Ray” Review. A Dog with a Bone.
“Uber Ray” is another great episode of Ray Donovan, especially because so many different sides of Ray are shown. The current story lines are expanded upon, drawing viewers deeper into what makes Ray, Mickey, Abby, and the others tick. I must say, Ann-Margret is beautiful as always, and Malcomson is quite the knockout in that sexy, dominatrix-style lingerie she purchases.

Dominion – “Something Borrowed” Retrospective. Chasing Shadows.
Everyone has secrets, and many of the characters in Syfy’s Dominion are no exception. In “Something Borrowed” a majority of the episode reflects on the human characters, and often, their relationships with one another. Although there are not nearly enough scenes with the higher angels like Michael (Tom Wisdom) and Gabriel (Carl Beukes), “Something Borrowed” compensates with strong performances by its actors, and fascinating plot points.

You’re the Worst – Series Premiere “Pilot” Review. Don’t Spit On It.
While You’re the Worst isn’t the most horrible series I’ve ever seen, I would venture to say it’s an acquired taste. It’s raunchy. If you’re a bit shy, be warned; there is a lot of sexual activity going on in the first 15 minutes of the episode. While there are no gratuitous shots of boobs or genitals (great camera maneuvering), the implied acts are pretty straightforward. The flipping and flopping, hair pulling, spitting (eww), and dropping to your knees action…you know exactly what the heck is going on.
