Grimm – “Rat King” Recap. A Grimm Walks into a Dump…
The hype of the “Rat King” episode had me quite excited but unfortunately, I’m left wanting. “Rat King” has its moments of intriguing plot points but overall, it is a lackluster episode. I am, however, happy to see Trubel (Jacqueline Toboni) again, even though she is completely battered and bruised. Where has she been and what the hell has she been up to while she’s been gone?

Racing Extinction Documentary – Review. Change Starts With One Thing.
#StartWith1Thing – Is mankind causing a mass extinction event? From Oscar®-winning film director Louie Psihoyos (THE COVE) and producer Fisher Steven, Racing Extinction is one of the most visceral and gut wrenching documentaries I’ve seen in a long while. The brilliant undercover work by The Oceanic Preservation Society (OPS), and other dedicated and passionate activists like Shawn Heinrichs, Paul Hilton, Dr. Heather Kelly, and Charles Hambleton showcase the brutality of the black market trade for certain species; their investigative reporting is both awe inspiring and maddening. When I first heard about Racing Extinction, I originally thought it was about global warming and its effects on the planet. While there is mention of climate change and how the pollutants have destroyed our eco-system, Racing Extinction goes deeper.

“Did You Do This? No, You Did It!” opens with a bang, literally, as the war between the Gerhardts and the Kansas City mafia reaches a critical level. Set to “Locomotive Breath” by Jethro Tull, a montage of assassinations on both sides shows how out of control the fight has become. Grimm – “Maiden Quest” Recap. Axes, Swords, and Golden Feathers.
Grimm writers do an excellent job of bringing something so old-fashioned into the modern day with the Weten Ogen Wesen tradition. Daniel Troyer (guest Richard Portnow), a wealthy businessman with mob ties, sends three young men on a task to avenge his son’s (not seen) death. Each man must pull a gold Griffon feather to see who goes first. The mission – to bring Troyer the head of Frankie Adkins (guest star Robert Baker), a low level crime boss who Troyer believes is responsible for the death of his son. And with only his daughter Emily (Madeline Zima) left, Troyer offers up her hand in marriage to whoever succeeds. But Emily doesn’t seem too pleased with this so-called tradition.
