YourEntertainmentCorner.com (YEC) was invited to the red carpet for FX Network’s double premiere of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and The League on Tuesday, September, 13, 2011.
It was a very busy, exciting, energetic, fun, and slightly chaotic event but I had a blast! Admittedly, this was only my second red carpet event so I was still very nervous and floundering; however, I somehow managed to pull it all together when the stars headed my way.
Below are interviews and photos from the event. The League cast came down the carpet first, followed by It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia (IASIP) cast members. Although I didn’t get to speak to anyone from IASIP, I did get to see an extraordinary display of decency from Danny DeVito, who plays Frank on IASIP. When one of the female reporters asked for a photo with DeVito, the guy holding the camera, whose hands were FULL, fumbled a bit. The female reporter, in a sort of rude manner, told him to speed it up, to which DeVito quietly and politely commented that there is no rush and to not yell at the guy. That moment really made me smile. You hear so much about celebrities being such egotistical stuck-up douche bags and bitches, it’s really refreshing to see kindness like this happen.
The other highlight of my night – meeting Jon LaJoie, who plays Taco on The League. Many of you may know LaJoie from his YouTube video fame. His video Show Me Your Genitals has hit nearly 40 million hits!
LaJoie was absolutely gracious and funny when we chatted. I think I may have given him an idea to help “seal” the deal with Disney® using his genitals and the coined phrase, “Seal Team 6.” LOL!! (Just watch the video – it’s funny.)
