News: Starz Announces July 1 as the Premiere Date for Season 5 of Power, as well as an Early Renewal for Season 6

With the intense finale of season four, “You Can’t Fix This,” I can’t wait for season five of Power to begin. And what fabulous news that the series has already been renewed for season six!

In case you didn’t read my review of “You Can’t Fix This,” let me fill you in on a few things. I need to know whether the death of Ghost (Omari Hardwick) and Tasha’s (Naturi Naughton) daughter Raina (Donshee Hopkins) will bring the embattled couple together or send Ghost straight back into the arms of his longtime lover/newly appointed Chief Justice Angela Valdes (Lela Loren). Speaking of Valdes, it looked like AUSA Cooper Saxe (Shane Johnson) was out to get her last season; will he succeed this time around? Also, with Saxe bringing in Maria (Maria Rivera) to tell her story, will the Feds try to go after Ghost again? I thought that was a done deal.

From creator and showrunner Courtney A. Kemp, “Power” has continued to perform for the network growing with each season and establishing several all-time high performances for STARZ viewership. The much-anticipated fifth season will return on Sunday, July 1^st at 9PM ET/PT.
