‘SHARK AFTER DARK’ RETURNS WITH HOST ELI ROTH AND A LINEUP OF JAWSOME CELEBRITY GUESTS INCLUDING CHARLIZE THERON, TONY HALE AND REGINA HALL AMONG OTHERS AIRING SUNDAY, JULY 23-THURSDAY JULY 27 ON DISCOVERY
SHARK WEEK, television’s longest-running and eagerly awaited summer TV event kicks off on Sunday, July 23 at 7:00 PM ET/PT and continues through Sunday, July 30. For the fifth consecutive year, the hit late-night talk show Shark After Dark will return with award-winning film director, producer, writer and actor Eli Roth (“Inglourious Basterds,” “The Green Inferno”). For five continuous nights, Roth will be joined by celebrity guests and shark experts to highlight some of the most fintastic moments from SHARK WEEK in addition to giving viewers a sneak peek at the next day’s programs. Shark After Dark airs Sunday, Jul 23 – Thursday, July 27 (11:00 – 11:30 PM ET/PT) on Discovery. During Shark Week 2016, Shark After Dark was basic cable’s most-watched Late Night talk show (P2+), while also ranking #1 across adults, men, and women 25-54, 18-49, and 18-34.

Sunday, July 23:
Tony Hale and award-winning shark cinematographer Joe Romeiro discuss the most interesting race of Michael Phelps’ career, against a great white. In addition, play along with Tony Hale as he uses everyday objects to show how the size of five shark species measure up!
Monday, July 24:
Comedian Anthony Jeselnik and marine biologist Vicky Vasquez sit down and discuss some of the most unique shark species including goblin sharks, frilled sharks and sawsharks. Plus, Anthony Jeselnik puts his own shark knowledge to the test pairing shark species to their habitats.
Tuesday, July 25:
Comedian Chris Hardwick, actress Regina Hall and marine biologist Craig O’Connell weigh in on the battle between east and west coast sharks and later they expose the truth behind some of the most viral shark footage on the internet.
Wednesday, July 26:
Musician Moby is joined by Naked and Afraid fan favorites Cory Williams and Anastasia Ashley to play an exhilarating round of Fin’s Up! Plus, wildlife filmmaker Devon Massyn sits down to discuss THE LOST CAGE and the complexities of filming sharks.
Thursday, July 27:
Oscar-winning actress and producer Charlize Theron and award-winning cinematographer Andy Casagrande share stories of diving in the ‘sharkiest’ place on earth, South Africa. In addition, they team up to play Predator vs. Prey, a game that tests their ocean food chain knowledge and Andy discusses some of his wildest underwater experiences.
