ADVANCES IN ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE EXPLORED IN NEW TWO-HOUR DOCUMENTARY
THIS IS A.I.
PREMIERING JUNE 21 ON DISCOVERY CHANNEL
THIS IS A.I. explores some of the most exciting advances in artificial intelligence and its current and future power to transform disciplines and industries. From driverless cars to personal robots, to healthcare, and childhood education, we are already beginning to see how artificial intelligence is fundamentally changing our daily lives.
The advent of A.I. technology raises issues that need to be discussed and problems that need to be solved, but the overwhelming consensus among scientists is that A.I. has the potential to solve some of humankind’s most difficult problems. We’ll hear from leading computer scientists and technology experts, including Dario Gil, IBM’s Vice President of A.I. and Quantum Computing and one of the world’s leading authorities on the subject, as they help illuminate what A.I. is and what it’s becoming. They also reflect on philosophical issues surrounding A.I., as well as its transcendent promise.
THIS IS A.I. is produced by RadicalMedia in association with the Original Content Group and Discovery Studios for Discovery Channel. THIS IS A.I. was created by Charlie Foley, and Foley and Vaibhav Bhatt developed the special. Foley and Vaibhav Bhatt are executive producers for the Original Content Group. Dave Sirulnick and Jon Kamen are executive producers for RadicalMedia. Andrew Fair is executive producer for Ogilvy. The director is Paul Bozymowski.
