John Travolta Confirmed as John Gotti, Sr. in Indie film, "Gotti: Three Generations"

It has finally been confirmed that John Travolta will play John Gotti, Sr. in the upcoming Indie film, Gotti: Three Generations, slated for release in 2013. The story will revolve around Gotti Sr.’s, aka the Dapper Don, relationship with his son, John Gotti, Jr. The Gotti crime family was one of the biggest in its heyday, but Gotti Jr. eventually left the life after taking over for his father, who died of cancer while in prison. Nick Cassavetes will direct the film, which he plans to shoot entirely on location in New York. The real John Gotti, Jr. will join Cassavetes and Travolta at a press conference on Tuesday, April 12th at the Sheraton New York. Travolta is best known for his roles in Saturday Night Fever, Grease and Pulp Fiction. Of course, who doesn’t remember his famous Vinny Barbarino in Welcome Back Kotter?
