SEE Premiere Event Interviews
Filmed on location October 21, 2019 at Fox Regency Village Theater Westwood, CA
Once again, Apple TV has outdone themselves with the amazing forested carpet premiere event for their new drama series SEE. Set 600 years in the future, SEE finds the world decimated by a viral apocalypse and the remaining population are rendered blind.
During the chaotic event, we did get to speak to a few of the actors from SEE.
Adrian Hough, who some may recognize from Supernatural and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, plays Lord Sak, who is one of the Queen’s (played by Sylvia Hoeks) advisors.
Mojean Aria plays Gether Bax who’s in the same tribe with Jason Momoa’s character Baba Voss. Gether Bax is misunderstood and underappreciated, and in dire need of some love.
Joe Strechay is one of the main blindness consultants on SEE and helped the actors with their movements in portraying a person with blindness or visual impairments.
Aleks Paunovic, who many will recognize from a variety of his TV and film roles, but maybe more notably from Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency and Van Helsing. He will also be in another dystopian-apocalyptic series Snowpiercer.
Josh Blacker, who plays the Witchfinder Warrior, gave us some insight into his character and how portraying someone who is visually impaired was a welcome challenge, a role he took very seriously.
In looking back, I kind of got a bit of a reunion vibe seeing so many of the cast having also worked on Supernatural – Adrian Hough (Season 8, “Freaks & Geeks” episode), Aleks Paunovic as Gunnar Lawless, and Yadira Guevara-Prip* as Kaia/Dark Kaia. *(We didn’t get to speak to the lovely Yadira, but we snapped a photo below.)
And we didn’t get to talk to Jason Momoa, Alfre Woodard, Christian Camargo, or any other cast members but we have some B-Roll footage and photos of the event.
Full transcript to come…stay tuned
