For a man who claims to “work better alone,” Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) sure is going to bat for his protégé, Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams). If you missed any of last season’s episodes, check out the clip here to catch up and get ready for season two! Suits is one of the best shows on the USA Network and television this summer! The dialogue is clever, the wit is sharp, and the actors execute their delivery with precision and flair.

“She Knows” dives in right where we left off in the season one finale and it enticingly sets up the new season. Harvey seems to be showing a little more of his, dare I say, gentler side, especially in an ultimatum he gives Jessica regarding Mike. If this is any indicator, we can look forward to a fun, exciting, and cutthroat season two!

L-R: Harvey (Gabriel Macht) and Jessica (Gina Torres) pay their respects to Daniel Hardman (David Costabile) at his wife’s funeral

There is much more going on in “She Knows” than just Mike finding himself in the hot seat with senior managing partner Jessica Pearson (Gina Torres), who also makes up half the company name – Pearson Hardman. While Mike tries to resolve a lawsuit impeding a huge merger with a book publisher, Harvey and Jessica contend with the other half of the firm’s namesake, Daniel Hardman (David Costabile). After learning Hardman’s wife has just passed away, Harvey and Jessica’s ‘blackmail’ leverage is thrown out the window. Hardman has been gone for five years and Harvey fears he is out for blood, but could Hardman really be a changed man now?

There are so many things I love about Suits! The acting is great; the actors are fun (and easy on the eyes); and the storylines are intriguing. Although this series has a foundation rooted in the law, the writing delves into so much more than boring old courtroom drama. Take for instance, one of my favorites on the show, Donna (Sarah Rafferty), Harvey’s executive assistant. She’s got gumption, ten-fold! She’s able to hold her own against Harvey and isn’t afraid to say what’s on her mind. Case in point, in “She Knows,” when Harvey must fire Mike (yes, you heard me), he can’t go through with it. And Donna, being the supportive friend, asks if she can get him anything, “tissue, glass of water, tampon?” The playful banter is wonderful to watch and delightfully entertaining.

You won’t want to miss this premiere – it’ll knock your suit off! (pun intended). And during a conference call today with series star Gabriel Macht, I learned the great Emmy® award winning Margo Martindale (Justified, A Gifted Man), will be guest starring this season. If that’s not even more incentive to watch…what is?!

Tune in to the season two premiere of Suits, Thursday, June 14 at 10PM, only on USA Network.
