"Dancing with the Stars" Pairings Announced!

Finally, we know which celebrity will be dancing with which professional on the upcoming two-hour premiere of ABC’s wildly popular reality dance show, Dancing with the Stars. On Monday, March 21, 2011, 8:00-10:01 pm EST, the Season 12 “DWTS'” couples will be dancing either the Foxtrot or Cha Cha Cha. Perhaps my favorite match-ups and possible winners from the list below would be Romeo with Chelsie Hightower and Petra Nemcova with Dmitry Chaplin. Why, you ask? Well, it’s simple. Romeo, being a world reknown rapper and entertainer, should already have a great sense of rhythm and know how to keep the audience enthralled. And Petra, as a supermodel, should be infinitely intimate with her body and how it moves, something a good dancer needs.

As to their partners, Hightower is a fabulous dancer, who first came into our homes each week on Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance, where she was a fan favorite. Plus, she has trained with current and former world champions, including DWTS‘ Corkey Ballas, Katrina Smirnoff and Louis VanAmstel. Chaplin is due for a win, having exhibited his wonderful skills and creative choreography in seasons past. He is an International Latin dancer and an Emmy®-nominated choreographer.
