I love Comic-Con. It’s a mecca for all of us who are fans of TV, film, comic books, books, and just all around geeks. I was only able to make it for one glorious day this year but I did the most with this one day. I had three press rooms lined up and a sweet party afterwards.

Revolution. Some may say the panel is where it’s at and I totally understand that but in the press room, you able to have one on one time with each actor and actually talk to them. Awesome! I’m a huge fan of the show and am beyond excited for the second season to hit my television screen. Despite having done press rooms before, I always get nervous when the publicists bring over the first actor for the round table style interviews. As much as I wanted to gather juicy information from the actors, they had very little to give; with a seven-week hiatus between shooting the season one finale and filming season two, there wasn’t much to learn about what’s to come in season two. The actors mention they’ve only shot one episode of season two so far and it is set three months after the bombs are dropped on Philadelphia and Atlanta.

Lyons eludes that the question that should be asked is, “Does the power stay on?” His wink makes me think…well, I don’t know what to think because he is really elusive with his answers. He also discusses his love for Vegemite.

All the actors at the roundtable were so nice and fun to talk to. You really get a sense of their love for the show and how appreciative they are of the towns they’re filming in. I’ll let the videos speak for themselves. I will say I absolutely adore Eric Kripke. He is a passionate guy and I can tell how much he loves what he does.

While I was hoping Zak Orth, who plays Aaron Pittman, and Colm Feore, who plays Randall Flynn, would be available, sadly they were not. I did get some interviews from the following cast members though:

May I just say that even though the believability of having an Aussie play the leader of a militia in an apocalyptic United States may not have gone over well, I wouldn’t mind hearing David Lyons’ sexy accent during every episode. Besides, it’s kind of credible; we had an Austrian Governator here in California. Who’s to say an Aussie can’t lead a United States militia? Still swooning over that accent!

Revolution will return September 25 on a new day and time – Wednesdays at 8pm E/P. And if you think moving to an earlier time slot means less action or mayhem, think again. The cast and show creator Kripke swear things will still be gritty and didn’t seem to think the change would be an issue. This could pose a problem for parents who have children with bedtimes after 9pm. And contrary to many, although Revolution is considered a family show, I wouldn’t recommend it for younger children under age 13. The violence and bloodshed aren’t for the faint of heart. I mean, do you remember the bloody season finale? Nevertheless, Revolution is one of my favorite new shows and I’ll continue to watch faithfully, no matter the time change.
