As we previously reported, Prison Break is returning to our TV screens sometime during Fox’s 2016-17 season. Joining previously announced co-stars Wentworth Miller as Michael Scofield, Dominic Purcell as Lincoln Burrows, and Sarah Wayne Callies as Dr. Sara Tancredi are Robert Knepper, Rockmond Dunbar, and Amaury Nolasco as T-Bag, C-Note, and Sucre, respectively.
I was a huge fan of the original Prison Break and can’t wait to see what this new event series has to offer. If it’s anything like the original, with its exceptional acting, directing, writing, suspense and intrigue, I’ll definitely be tuning in each week.

AN ALL-NEW EVENT SERIES PREMIERING IN THE 2016-2017 SEASON ON FOX

Cast Members Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell and
Sarah Wayne Callies, in their Original Roles
Robert Knepper (David Lynch’s “Rancho Rosa”), Rockmond Dunbar (“The Path,” “The Mentalist”) and Amaury Nolasco (“Telenovela,” “Gang Related”) will reprise their roles in the all-new event series PRISON BREAK, which is set to premiere during the 2016-2017 season on FOX.
Knepper (THEODORE “T-BAG” BAGWELL), Dunbar (BENJAMIN MILES “C-NOTE” FRANKLIN) and Nolasco (FERNANDO SUCRE) join previously announced cast members Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell and Sarah Wayne Callies, who reprise their roles as brothers MICHAEL SCOFIELD and LINCOLN BURROWS and DR. SARA TANCREDI, respectively. In the drama’s new chapter, when clues surface that suggest a previously thought-to-be-dead Michael may be alive, Lincoln and Sara reunite to engineer the series’ biggest escape ever, as three of Fox River State Penitentiary’s most notorious escapees, T-Bag, C-Note and Sucre, are pulled back into the action.
An immediate critical and ratings hit when the original series premiered in the fall of 2005, the new event series will hit the ground running, reuniting the original producing team, including series creator Paul T. Scheuring (“Klondike”), Neal Moritz (“The Fast and the Furious” franchise), Marty Adelstein (“Aquarius,” “Last Man Standing”) and Dawn Olmstead (“The Whispers,” “Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce”), who return to executive-produce the new series, with Scheuring serving as showrunner/writer.
The original action drama PRISON BREAK centered on a young man (Miller) determined to prove his convicted brother’s (Purcell) innocence and save him from death row by hatching an elaborate plan to escape from prison. A breakout success in its premiere season, garnering Golden Globe Award nominations for Best Television Series – Drama and Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Drama (Miller), as well as winning the People’s Choice Award for Favorite New TV Drama, PRISON BREAK thrilled audiences for four heart-pounding seasons, ending its run in May 2009.
The series will be produced by 20th Century Fox Television. Paul T. Scheuring, Neal Moritz, Marty Adelstein, Dawn Olmstead,Vaun Wilmott, Michael Horowitz and Nelson McCormick will serve as executive producers. McCormick will also serve as director. “Like” PRISON BREAK on Facebook at facebook.com/prisonbreak. Follow the series on Twitter @PrisonBreak and join the discussion using #PrisonBreak.
