ABC Family Announces 2015 Summer Schedule
ABC Family announced their line-up of season premieres and new series airing throughout the summer. Returning series include fan favorite dramas: Pretty Little Liars, The Fosters, Chasing Life and Switched at Birth. Hit comedies: Melissa & Joey, Baby Daddy and Young & Hungry. ABC Family is also expanding their schedule with brand-new dramas, docu-series and comedies including Stitchers, Becoming Us, and Kevin From Work!

STARZ Comedies Blunt Talk Premieres and Survivor’s Remorse Returns Aug. 22
Starz announced the highly anticipated premiere of original series “Blunt Talk” and return of the critically-acclaimed “Survivor’s Remorse” on Saturday, August 22nd. The comedy block kicks off at 9 PM ET/PT with the premiere of “Blunt Talk,” the 10-episode first season of the half-hour scripted comedy series from MRC and executive produced by Seth MacFarlane, Jonathan Ames (creator and showrunner), Stephanie Davis and Tristram Shapeero. The laughs continue at 9:30 PM ET/PT with the sophomore season of “Survivor’s Remorse,” from executive producers Tom Werner, Maverick Carter, LeBron James, Mike O’Malley, Paul Wachter, Victor Levin and Hilton Smith. The second season of the half-hour scripted comedy series will feature 10 episodes – up from its six-episode first season.

USA Network Announces Series Pick Up For New Drama Queen of the South
USA Network announced the 13-episode series pick-up of the drama QUEEN OF THE SOUTH, starring Alice Braga (“City of God”), a co-production from Fox 21 Television Studios and Universal Cable Productions (UCP). The series is based on the literary page-turner “La Reina Del Sur,” the top-selling novel by the internationally acclaimed author Arturo Pérez-Reverte, which also yielded a Telemundo series that became one of the most popular telenovelas of all time for USA’s sister network. The series is slated to premiere in 2016.

STARZ Releases First Look Trailer/Photos for Limited Series Flesh and Bone

HBO Documentary Thought Crimes: The Case of the Cannibal Cop Debuts May 11
Dubbed “The Cannibal Cop,” former NYPD officer Gilberto Valle was convicted of conspiring to kidnap and eat women in March 2013. Valle had argued it was all a fantasy, but the prosecution’s narrative convinced jurors otherwise. News: Travel Channel Expands 2015 Programming Slate
Travel Channel has greenlit seven new series and one new pilot that illustrate the network’s vision for its travel entertainment programming – to connect viewers to the world and share its amazing places, people and stories. Three of the new series will inspire viewers to experience new locations and cultures around the globe: “50/50,” with Samantha Brown and Chris Grundy, is a spontaneous adventure with a twist, “Five Star Secrets,” hosted by hotel expert Anthony Melchiorri, is a behind-the-scenes look at the world’s best hotels and “Rev Runs Around the World” joins international icon Rev Run and his family on a worldwide journey as they test their limits with no set itinerary. Adventure and world exploration are the focus of the coming-of-age docu-series “Boy to Man,” with award-winning filmmaker Tim Noonan, and “Majestic America,” (wt) which showcases the breathtaking footage of America’s most beloved national parks. Host Curt Menefee of “Hello Goodbye” discovers travelers’ stories as they come and go from America’s busy airports, and host, acclaimed journalist and author Alison Stewart of “Follow Your Past” reveals American’s personal connections to history and extraordinary events. The network has also greenlit two half-hour episodes of a new pilot, “Relocated,” which follows professionals and their families as they consider one of the hardest decisions of their lives.

Smithsonian Channel Presents The Spy in the Hanoi Hilton Premiering April 27
A new Smithsonian Channel special will reveal one of the greatest secrets of the Vietnam War. THE SPY IN THE HANOI HILTON, premiering Monday, April 27 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, uncovers the true story of POWs inside the Hỏa Lò Prison, known as the Hanoi Hilton, who created a high-level espionage operation that reached all the way to the CIA and the White House. This included sending radio transmissions to the Pentagon and President Nixon’s White House during the brutal Christmas Bombings of 1972, signaling that POWs inside the Hanoi Hilton were still alive and that the raid should continue.

TV Casting News: Kathy Bates Joins American Horror Story: Hotel
Academy Award® and Emmy Award® winner Kathy Bates has joined the cast of American Horror Story: Hotel, the highly anticipated fifth installment of Ryan Murphy’s hit horror anthology series. AHS: Hotel will represent Bates’ third appearance in the series, having previously starred in the recently completed AHS: Freak Show and AHS: Coven, for which she won an Emmy Award.
