TV News: Mark Burnett To Executive Produce First Ever Unscripted Dating Series To Air on Fox in 2016
FOX has ordered 10 episodes of an unscripted dating series from Emmy Award-winning executive producer Mark Burnett (“Survivor,” “The Voice”). Set in the Caribbean Islands, the series will take the instant “yes or no” connection of modern digital romance to the next level. Single men and women will match up, based on their instant chemistry, but the real soap opera will unfold when these budding couples discover whether or not they have the compatibility to make their relationships last. Further details will be announced at a later date.

AMC’s Feed the Beast Set to Begin Production in NYC in February 2016
“Feed the Beast” is a drama about two best friends who take one last shot at their dream of opening a restaurant. Together, they take on the insanity of the New York restaurant world, and navigate its underbelly of petty criminals, corrupt officials, and violent mobsters. The 10 one-hour episodes are set to premiere in May 2016.

The Son Gets a Straight-to-Series Order from AMC
AMC announced today from the Television Critics Association (TCA) Press Tour a straight-to-series order for the drama “The Son.” Based on Philipp Meyer’s acclaimed novel that was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 2014, the series is a multi-generational epic telling of the story of America’s birth as a superpower through the bloody rise of one Texas family.

TV News: TV Land Orders Pilot NOBODIES With Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone Exec Producing
TV Land has ordered a pilot for “Nobodies,” starring, executive produced and written by Groundlings alums Hugh Davidson, Larry Dorf and Rachel Ramras (“Mike Tyson Mysteries”), and also to be executive produced by Emmy® winner and Oscar® nominee Melissa McCarthy and acclaimed comedic actor/director Ben Falcone through their production company On The Day. The pilot is inspired by Davidson, Dorf and Ramras, who in their real lives, watched as their friends from The Groundlings went on to star in blockbuster comedies and win Oscars, while they toiled away in Hollywood.

TV News: TV Land’s YOUNGER Renewed For Season Three
TV Land and Darren Star’s critically-acclaimed hit “Younger,” called “flirty fun” by Entertainment Weekly and “sexy” by People.com, has been renewed for a 12-episode third season, it was announced today at the Television Critics Association (TCA) Winter Press Tour at The Langham Hotel in Pasadena, CA. Star and the entire cast of the show, including Sutton Foster, Hilary Duff, Debi Mazar, Nico Tortorella, Miriam Shor, Molly Bernard, Peter Hermann and Dan Amboyer were all on hand for the announcement. The news comes before the comedy has even begun airing its second season, which is set to start on Wednesday, January 13th at 10pm ET/PT with two back-to-back episodes for an hour-long premiere.

Casting News: The Rocky Horror Picture Show Adds Victoria Justice, Ryan McCarten, and Reeve Carney To Cast
More casting news as actress and recording artist Victoria Justice (“Victorious”) and Ryan McCarten (“Liv & Maddie,” “Heathers the Musical”) have been cast as “Janet Weiss” and “Brad Majors” in THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW, which is set to shoot this winter and air Fall 2016 on FOX. Reeve Carney (“Penny Dreadful,” “Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark,”) has been cast as “Riff Raff,” one of Dr. Frank-N-Furter’s loyal servants. Carney originated the role of “Peter Parker/Spider-Man” in the smash Broadway production “Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark,” under the direction of Julie Taymor, with music by U2’s Bono and The Edge. TV News: History’s Hit Drama VIKINGS Returns For Season Four Feb. 18
HISTORY’s hit drama series “Vikings” returns for a gripping fourth season led by Travis Fimmel, star of the upcoming film Warcraft, on Thursday, February 18 at 10 p.m. ET.
