Woody Allen’s As-Yet Untitled Feature Film Acquired by Amazon Studios
Woody Allen’s latest as yet untitled feature film has been acquired for all North American rights, including theatrical and streaming, by Amazon Studios. The film, shot last summer on location in New York and Los Angeles, is a romantic comedy staged in the 1930s and stars Jeannie Berlin, Steve Carell, Jesse Eisenberg, Blake Lively, Parker Posey, Kristen Stewart, Corey Stoll, and Ken Stott.

News: Amazon Orders Original Kids Series Thunderbirds Are Go
Amazon orders four seasons of the new series, which is a reinvention of the 50-year-old classic Thunderbirds series; Rosamund Pike to star as Lady Penelope. Thunderbirds Are Go catapults the five brave Tracy brothers back onto television screens, where they’ll pilot their vehicles from the depths of the oceans to the highest reaches of space, performing impossible rescues across the globe.

TV News: Catherine Hardwicke Signs On to Direct First Two Episodes of New USA Network Thriller “Eyewitness”
USA Network has tapped Catherine Hardwicke (“Twilight,” “Miss You Already”) to direct the first two episodes of the new drama series EYEWITNESS. From Universal Cable Productions (UCP), the US adaptation of the successful Norwegian crime thriller (original title “Øyevitne”) explores a grisly crime from the point of view of the eyewitness. Scott Peters (“V,” “THE 4400”) joins Adi Hasak (Creator, “Shades of Blue”) and Jarl Emsell Larsen as Executive Producer. Peters will also direct multiple episodes of the 10-episode series. The drama will be adapted for American television by Hasak.

TV News: Syfy Greenlights Futuristic Thriller INCORPORATED to Series
Syfy announced it has greenlit to series INCORPORATED, a futuristic thriller from Matt Damon, Ben Affleck & Jennifer Todd’s Pearl Street Films, CBS Television Studios and Universal Cable Productions. The 13-episode first season of the new drama series is expected to premiere on Syfy in Fall 2016. Set in a near future where corporations have unlimited power, INCORPORATED centers around Ben Larson (Sean Teale, “Reign”), a young executive who conceals his true identity to infiltrate a very dangerous corporate world to save the woman he loves. But he’ll soon learn that he’s not the only one whose secrets may have deadly consequences.

TV News: Lifetime New Original Movie THE REAL MVP: The Wanda Pratt Story Set to Premiere May 7
Lifetime continues its partnership with Academy Award nominated, Golden Globe, Grammy, SAG and Emmy Award winner Queen Latifah, Shakim Compere and their Flavor Unit team to bring the inspiring true story of Wanda Pratt, a single mom who struggled and sacrificed to raise her two sons Tony and Kevin Durant, in the Lifetime Original Movie The Real MVP: The Wanda Pratt Story (working title). Named 2014’s NBA Most Valuable Player, Kevin captured the hearts of the nation with a speech dedicated to Wanda for all she has done to get him there. Executive produced by Queen Latifah, Shakim Compere and Wanda Pratt, production on the two-hour film is currently underway in Vancouver. Set to premiere in celebration of Mother’s Day this year, The Real MVP: The Wanda Pratt Story is produced by A+E Studios.

The new Smithsonian Channel series, ALASKA AIRCRASH INVESTIGATIONS, goes behind-the-scenes with unprecedented access to the National Transportation Safety Board’s (NTSB) Alaska “Go Team.” For the first time, The NTSB has allowed a television crew to follow its Alaska unit as it investigates the more than 125 crashes that occur in the state every year. The series, comprised of six hour-long episodes, premieres Sunday, March 13 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

TV News: E! Green lights Second Scripted Series The Arrangement *UPDATED* with Premiere Date
E! announced today the network’s second scripted series “The Arrangement,” a Cinderella story for modern times with a dark and complicated Hollywood twist. Produced by Universal Cable Productions, the 10 episode one-hour series stars Josh Henderson (“Dallas”), Christine Evangelista (“Chicago Fire”), Michael Vartan (“Alias”) and Lexa Doig (“Continuum”). The pilot was written by Jonathan Abrahams (“Mad Men”), who will serve as executive producer on the series.
