INSIDE THE MANSON CULT: THE LOST TAPES, a new two-hour true crime special about Charles Manson and his gang of blindly loyal followers, will air Monday, Sept. 17 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. Culled from more than 100 hours of footage, the two-hour special goes inside Spahn’s Ranch, where the Manson cult lived, to offer an intimate and terrifying look into America’s most murderous group. Fifty years ago, Charles Manson assembled a group of young followers, setting up a commune in Southern California. Mirroring the energy of the era, Manson was an aspiring musician who preached messages of peace and love, attracting seemingly innocent people into his inner circle. No one would have suspected that his followers would commit the most infamous series of slayings in U.S. history.

News: CBS Secures U.S. Rights To Popular International Reality Series Love Island.
CBS has secured the U.S. format rights for the smash U.K. and international reality series “Love Island” from ITV Studios and Motion Content Group, with the new series to be produced by ITV Entertainment. “Love Island” sees a group of single “Islanders” come together in a stunning villa in a beautiful tropical location. They are on the lookout for romance, but as always, the road to love never runs smoothly, as they must not only choose their partner wisely, but also win the hearts of the public. Challenges and dramatic twists abound as the Islanders form alliances, while relationships are made in an effort to win the ultimate prize. News: FX Picks Up New Limited Series DEVS To Premiere In 2019.
In Devs, a young computer engineer, Lily Chan, investigates the secretive development division of her employer, a cutting-edge tech company based in San Francisco, who she believes are behind the murder of her boyfriend. Devs will star Sonoya Mizuno, Nick Offerman, Jin Ha, Zach Grenier, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Cailee Spaeny and Alison Pill. The eight-episode Devs will premiere on FX in 2019.

News: FX Orders Limited Series Shōgun Based On Best-Selling Novel by James Clavell.
Shōgun, set in feudal Japan, charts the collision of two ambitious men from different worlds and a mysterious female samurai: John Blackthorne, a risk-taking English sailor who ends up shipwrecked in Japan, a land whose unfamiliar culture will ultimately redefine him; Lord Toranaga, a shrewd, powerful daimyo, at odds with his own dangerous, political rivals; and Lady Mariko, a woman with invaluable skills but dishonorable family ties, who must prove her value and allegiance.

SHOWTIME has named multiple Emmy winner Tom Fontana (Homicide: Life on the Street) as showrunner, executive producer and one of the writers on the upcoming drama series CITY ON A HILL, starring Golden Globe® winner and Emmy nominee Kevin Bacon (The Following) and Screen Actors Guild® award winner Aldis Hodge (Underground). Fontana will work closely with series creator and executive producer Chuck MacLean (Boston Strangler) on the 10-episode series premiering in 2019. Based on an original idea by Academy Award® winner Ben Affleck, CITY ON A HILL is set in the early 1990s Boston, rife with violent criminals emboldened by local law enforcement agencies in which corruption and racism was the norm.

The New York Latino Film Festival (NYLFF), fresh off its highly anticipated return, is excited to announce that its gearing up to kick off its 15th edition this summer and presented by its founding partner, HBO. At the 2018 Television Critics Association (TCA) Summer Press Tour, Starz announced Roberta Colindrez (“I Love Dick,” “The Deuce”) will be joining the cast of “Vida” as a new series regular in an expanded 10-episode second season during which series creator and executive producer Tanya Saracho will make her directorial debut.
