Recap/Review: The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Season 3, Episode 1 - "In the Name of the Father" 2

Finally, we’re done with the drama known as Danielle Staub! I had gotten to the point last year when I seriously considered giving up RHONJ. From the looks of the season opener, though, there will be plenty of drama this year with the addition of Kathy Wakile and Melissa Gorga, both of whom are related to Teresa Giudice.

The Karate Kid Goes Home: Recap/Review, “Dancing with the Stars – The Results Show,” Week 9 Semi-Finals

So here we have it dance fans. Ralph Macchio, aka “The Karate Kid,” is going home. Although I predicted it in yesterday’s Recap/Review, I have to say I’m a little disappointed. I loved watching Ralph grow into a wonderful dancer this season. No matter what happened, he’s still a winner in my book. For a recap of the evening’s events, including the first hour of the show, read on.

ABC Unveils an Ambitious New Line-Up for its 2011-12 Season

ABC Unveils an Ambitious New Line-Up for its 2011-12 Season 3

It looks to me like ABC is totally revamping its schedule for next year with the addition of 13 new shows and the cancellation of six. Joining the already-renewed Body of Proof and Happy Endings are the new dramas Charlie’s Angels, Good Christian Belles (formerly known as “Good Christian Bitches”), Pan Am, Revenge, Once Upon A Time, Scandal, Missing, and The River. New comedies include Work It, Man Up, Apartment 23, Last Man Standing and Suburgatory.

Fox Announces An Interesting Slate for 2011-12 4

Since I previously expressed my displeasure with the cancellations of some of my favorite Fox shows, it is only right that I now tell you what I think about Fox’s announcement of its 2011-12 television season that was unveiled today by Peter Rice, Chairman, Entertainment, Fox Networks Group, and Kevin Reilly, President, Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company.

Recap/Review: “Dancing with the Stars,” Week 9 Semi-Finals

Dancing with the stars generic logo

Week 9 is a critical week; it’s the semi-finals. During rehearsal this week, Hines’ partner Kym suffered a serious injury and was carried away on a stretcher, but since she’s here, I’m taking that as a good sign. This week, everyone has three dances to do – two individual dances and a Winner-Takes-All Cha Cha.

Review – Nurse Jackie, Season 3, Episode 8, “The Astonishing”

Review - Nurse Jackie, Season 3, Episode 8, "The Astonishing" 5

“What is the worst that can happen?” Such a telling statement from Jackie (Edie Falco) to calm Grace’s (Ruby Jerins) fears as she puts the finishing touches on Grace’s costume for the Saints Pageant at school. With Kevin (Dominic Fumusa) watching and beaming with pride, Fiona (Mackenzie Aladjem) feeds Grace her lines so she can practice—the very picture of domesticity. Except we all know that’s not exactly the truth.

Lifetime Releases Aggressive New Line-Up for the 2011-12 Season

Lifetime Releases Aggressive New Line-Up for the 2011-12 Season 7

It looks like the Lifetime Network wants to play with the big boys with its new programming slate for the upcoming 2011-12 season. Since I’m a fan of the network’s original series, “Army Wives” and “Drop Dead Diva,” both of which have been renewed, as well as reality shows, “Project Runway” and “Coming Home,” I couldn’t be happier.

Giant Upheaval At Fox – What Will They Cancel Next?

Giant Upheaval At Fox - What Will They Cancel Next? 8

I am in a state of disbelief. Not only has Fox cancelled “The Chicago Code,” “Human Target,” “Breaking In” and “Lie to Me,” they’ve also cancelled one of my favorite comedies, “Traffic Light.” It’s been quite a bloodbath over at the Fox Network tonight.

Romeo Sent Home – Recap of “Dancing with the Stars-The Results Show,” Week 8

Dancing with the stars generic logo

As we all know by now, Romeo was sent home this week. I’m sad to see him go, as I think he brought a lot to the show. I thought Kirstie would be the one leaving, as I predicted in my Recap/Review of last night’s “Dancing with the Stars.” But I guess the voters didn’t see it my way. For a recap of tonight’s show, please continue reading.

Macchio Injured, Affecting His Dance. Recap/Review – “Dancing with the Stars” Week 8

Dancing with the stars generic logo

Instant dances are back this week so the stars have to be at the top of their game. Not only do they have to do a regular dance, in spite of knowing the style of dance for their second routine ahead of time, they have to choreograph the dance at the drop of a hat when they pick their music tonight. Should be fun, no?

Review - Nurse Jackie, Season 3, Episode 7 - "Orchids and Salami" 9

One of the character traits I love so much about Jackie is her unfailing devotion to her kids and the ease with which she handles their problems. Watching her calm Grace’s fears about choosing the wrong saint for the Saint Pageant at school is a beautiful thing. I also love that Kevin (Dominic Fumusa) recognizes Jackie for what she’s worth.

"Keeping Up with the Kardashians" Returns for Season Six this June 10

Well, I don’t have to wait much longer to watch their newest escapades. Keeping Up with the Kardashians returns for its sixth season on June 12th at 10:00 pm ET/PT on E!

With the season premiere of USA’s “In Plain Sight” last Sunday, new Executive Producers Ed Decter and John Strauss were happy to host a conference call to explain their vision for the show’s new season and tell us what we can expect. While I was unable to participate in the call, I was lucky enough to receive the transcript so our fans and followers would know what’s going on.

USA Network To Expand Their Slate of Original Programming

USA Network To Expand Their Slate of Original Programming 13

The USA Network is one of my favorite networks to watch, especially in the summer. With their “Character Driven” mantra, they have come up with some very exciting and interesting series that never fail to entertain me! Now, they have 12 more original series in the works, and I can’t decide which ones I’m most looking forward to. Here’s the official announcement, including a brief description of each. Which one do you think will become your favorite?

As we have learned, Kendra Wilkinson left “Dancing with the Stars” tonight. While she has progressed beautifully over the weeks, she hasn’t kept up quite as well as the other contestants. For a recap of the evening, read on dancing fans.

Ralph and Hines Tied at the Top – Recap/Review “Dancing with the Stars” Week 7

Dancing with the stars generic logo

So atop the leader board this week, we have a tie between Ralph and Karina, and Hines and Kym. For me, the one to go home tomorrow should be either Kirstie or Romeo. Don’t get me wrong – I like them, but they’re not bringing it as well as some of the others.

Review - Nurse Jackie, Season 3, Episode 6 - "When the Saints Go" 14

“When the Saints Go” is chock full of dark comedy, light humor and plenty of pathos, and is a classic example of why I love “Nurse Jackie.”

Review – In Plain Sight Season Premiere, S4, E1 – “The Art of the Deal”

Review - In Plain Sight Season Premiere, S4, E1 - "The Art of the Deal" 15

Change. This season, it’s all about change. Change in the workplace and change in personal lives. “The Art of the Steal” is a terrific season opener. It’s fast-paced, Mary and Marshall play off each other beautifully, and the addition of new characters should provide us with plenty of laughs going forward, as Mary learns how to deal with them.

Review - Nurse Jackie, Season 3, Episode 5 - "Rat Falls" 17

“Rat Falls” is not only one of the funniest episodes of “Nurse Jackie,” it’s one of the saddest. The rat isn’t the only one who falls.

Jeremy Renner to Star in Universal’s “The Bourne Legacy”

Jeremy Renner to Star in Universal's "The Bourne Legacy" 18

Jeremy Renner may be one of the busiest men in Hollywood these days – with roles in “Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol,” in post-production for a December release; “Thor,” which has a release date of May 6, 2011; “The Avengers,” in pre-production to be released May 2012; “Hansel and Gretel:Witch Hunters,” currently filming for a March 2012 release; and “Better Living Through Chemistry,” in pre-production for a 2013 release – but he’s not that busy that he’d turn down the offer to star in screenwriter/director Tony Gilroy’s The Bourne Legacy.

Catherine Zeta-Jones Joins Cast of “Rock of Ages” in an Original Role
