The Affair Season Premiere – “201” Spoiler Free Advance Review. The Aftermath. 9

After watching “201,” I realized how very much I have missed The Affair. I am every bit as invested in these characters as I was when the first season ended. Treem is a wonderful storyteller and again gives the viewers realistic dialogue they can sink their teeth into.

Ray Donovan Season Finale - "Exsuscito" Review. Family Responsibilities 10

“Exsuscito” is a compelling season finale, with the last 10 minutes filled with such heartbreak, it’s almost difficult to watch. Not only do the viewers not know Terry’s fate, they also don’t know whether Father Romero gets Ray to the hospital in time.

TV News: Lifetime Renews Devious Maids for a Fourth Season 12

I was extremely excited reading the news today that Lifetime has renewed Devious Maids for a fourth season. I mean, who doesn’t want another season of the type of fun murder and mayhem only Marisol (Anna Ortiz), Rosie (Dania Ramirez), Carmen (Roselyn Sanchez), and Zoila (Judy Reyes), our favorite Latina maids can solve?

Ray Donovan - "Poker" Review. Dead to Rights? 14

Ray Donovan – “One Night in Yerevan” Retrospective. At What Price? 15

Ray Donovan is one of my favorite television shows and it kills me to give “One Night in Yerevan” such a negative review. While the acting is outstanding as usual, the dialogue almost completely misses the mark.

Ray Donovan – “The Octopus” Retrospective. Love Conquers All.

Ray Donovan – “The Octopus” Retrospective. Love Conquers All. 16

A large part of “The Octopus” deals with Bunchy—his relationship with Teresa, his feelings about the way his big brother Ray treats him, and his new job with his father, Mickey. Major kudos to Mihok for his portrayal of Bunchy not only in “The Octopus,” but throughout this entire season.

Tyrant Season 2 Finale – “Pax Abuddin” Review. The End of an Era? 17

Now that the war with the Caliphate is over, the future of Abuddin is in flux. Will Jamal remain in power with his wife Leila (Moran Atias) and son Ahmed (Cameron Gharaee) by his side? Will Barry return to America with Molly (Jennifer Finnigan) and their son Sammy (Noah Silver)? That, and so much more, is addressed in “Pax Abuddin,” an extremely poignant season finale filled with outstanding acting by all involved.

Ray Donovan – “Tulip” Retrospective. Anatomy of a Cover Up. 18

We’re more than halfway through the third season of Ray Donovan, and it is turning out to be one of the series best. It’s difficult to shine the light on the acting of any one particular star as they all shine in their own right.

Ray Donovan – “All Must Be Loved” Retrospective. Confession is Good for the Soul…or is it? 21

“All Must Be Loved” is a powerful episode that brings Ray Donovan full circle from the very first episode of season one. The acting in this episode is superb; the writing sublime; and director Tucker Gates knocks it out of the park with the way he balances both the tone and pacing of the episode.
