To The Other Side… Review: The Vampire Diaries “Break on Through”

To The Other Side... Review: The Vampire Diaries "Break on Through" 1

I’m still waiting for the defining episode for this season. Hopefully we’ll get it next week because this week’s episode doesn’t do much for me.

Why Does Jess Fall Into the Koi Pond? Review: New Girl “Fancyman Pt. 1”

Why Does Jess Fall Into the Koi Pond? Review: New Girl "Fancyman Pt. 1" 2

Focusing on one person, one plot per episode, works. Having all the characters doing their own thing is disjointed and isn’t entertaining.

Just When You Think You've Seen It All... Review: Vampire Mob - Season 2 3

If you haven’t heard of Vampire Mob, get with the program because you’re missing out on something special. The episodes average about five minutes in length, but don’t let that fool you. There’s plenty of comedy packed into each short.

Book Review: The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

Book Review: The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins 5

I highly recommend this novel to anyone who may be looking for something slightly off the beaten path in the way of YA novels. A strong heroine, extreme living conditions and unpredictable outcomes help The Hunger Games stand out from other dystopian novels of its kind. This is the first in a series of three and by far the best. I’ll leave it to you to decide what you think about the other two books in The Hunger Games saga.

Welcome to Zombieland! I mean, Atlanta… Review: The Walking Dead “Beside the Dying Fire”

Welcome to Zombieland! I mean, Atlanta... Review: The Walking Dead "Beside the Dying Fire" 6

I’m beyond excited about season three. I can’t even put my thoughts into words to express how insane the revelations are, the final shot of the prison (survival at last for the group?!), and Rick growing a pair of balls and laying down the law of the land.

I Knew There Was A Catch To Those Rings… Review: The Vampire Diaries “1912”

I Knew There Was A Catch To Those Rings... Review: The Vampire Diaries "1912" 7

The focus of “1912” isn’t really on the founding council killer; it’s on the Salvatore brothers. They do have a bond. It’s been broken, tried and tested, and now they’re working to repair it.

Review: New Girl "Control" (There’s Nothing Wrong With Being A Neat Freak…) 8

I want to like “Control” more than I do, but I just don’t feel the Schmidt-centric topic which really isn’t very funny.

Review: The Walking Dead "Better Angels" (A Botched Murder, Kid With A Pistol, and Insta-Zombies!) 10

I’m speechless—there are too many “holy shit!” moments to count, and I’m not sure I can stand the suspense of waiting seven more days until I can get my next The Walking Dead fix.

Review: New Girl – “Injured” (Nick Should Get Tackled By Jess More Often)

Review: New Girl - "Injured" (Nick Should Get Tackled By Jess More Often) 11

Although the first half of the show is hilarious, the second half merely holds its own. I don’t want to be too picky so I’m just gonna say, we can do better next week!

So Which One Are You? Review: The Walking Dead "Judge, Jury, Executioner" 13

I know I’m not the only one who wants to know just what the hell was on Carl’s mind when he decides to taunt a zombie.

Review: The Walking Dead “18 Miles Out”

Review: The Walking Dead "18 Miles Out" 14

On a one-to-ten scale, the suspense in “18 Miles Out” is at a 15. I thought for sure Rick was meeting his end, not to mention Shane finding himself trapped by Walkers with no way out. Talk about being on the edge of your seat!

Review: New Girl "Bully" (Scissors, Cheese and Schmidt is a Sex Dog) 16

I laughed more than once and quite loudly actually, during “Bully.” We’re getting back to the good stuff it seems and it’s about damn time. I’d like to see Winston have a better role on the show and I don’t know, maybe some more funny scenes overall.

Review: The Walking Dead “Triggerfinger” (Lori is Stirring Up Trouble… Shane Better Watch Out)

Review: The Walking Dead "Triggerfinger" (Lori is Stirring Up Trouble... Shane Better Watch Out) 19

“Triggerfinger” brings a lot of insight to the group as a whole. Glenn is down on himself for being so self-absorbed, but is that a bad thing? Darryl is pulling away from the group but Carol is determined to keep him from straying too far. Shane is going off the deep end and trying to take Lori with him.

Review: The Vampire Diaries “All My Children” (This Ain’t Your Mama’s Soap Opera)

Review: The Vampire Diaries "All My Children" (This Ain't Your Mama's Soap Opera) 20

“All My Children” is a solid episode. After being left in suspense for quite a few scenes, the ending is what really sets me on edge. The cliffhangers are killer (pun intended) and the writers know just what to do to get keep us clamoring for more.

Review: New Girl “Valentine’s Day” (Where Is The Love?)

Review: New Girl "Valentine's Day" (Where Is The Love?) 21

I want to see Jess in her element but going above and beyond in the laughs department without choking on a cherry. We know Jess is not like other girls but Deschanel just doesn’t play up her talents the way she should.

Review: The Walking Dead “Nebraska” (I Still Don’t Get What the Title Means)

Review: The Walking Dead "Nebraska" (I Still Don't Get What the Title Means) 22

“Nebraska” is a well done return to season two of The Walking Dead. I feel like we’re finally moving forward with the story and things will be different from here on out. While there were a few predictable moments, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by those that were unexpected too.

Review: The Vampire Diaries “Dangerous Liaisons” (A Ball, Botched Murder Attempt, and Unrequited Love)

Review: The Vampire Diaries "Dangerous Liaisons" (A Ball, Botched Murder Attempt, and Unrequited Love) 23

When we learn how dangerous it can be to befriend any member of the original family without some sort of consequence, we understand how aptly titled “Dangerous Liaisons” is. Not only do the vamps look out for themselves, they also have serious hidden agendas that won’t remain hidden for long.

“The Landlord” brings to mind the craziness we can encounter in the world when we allow ourselves to open up and be nice.
