Judy Manning

Dream chaser extraordinaire! Judy tends to be a tad sarcastic and kind of goofy! She is an avid admirer of all things supernatural, paranormal, celestial and mystical. She loves to read, write, and watches way too much TV. She enjoys many genres of film and music (and let's be honest, most music from the 80s). She also has a wicked sweet tooth. Cupcakes beware.

TV News: Howard Stern Talks America's Got Talent and Much, Much More! 1

“Anyway, I’m glad everybody showed up here. You know, we had a lot of interest and a lot of people speaking with me about America’s Got Talent. And there’s only so much time because, you know, I’m very busy staring at a wall in my apartment. And, you know, I – so I was happy to come here today and answer any and all questions. Nothing is off limits, of course. And of course, I want to say ‘Baba Booey’ to you all.” ~ Howard Stern

Busting A Witchy B*tch's Balls and Fae STD's? Oh My! Review: Lost Girl "Mirror, Mirror" 2

“Mirror, Mirror” is an intense but highly entertaining episode. You get a bit of humor from our lovable Kenzi (Ksenia Solo) but it’s of a darker variety, for the most part. The Wtich Baba Yaga is scary. The fable or myth of Baba Yaga, who is Fae by the way, is a cross between Bloody Mary and the witch in Hansel and Gretel.

Is it Karma or God? Review: The Borgias, S2, Ep. 205 "The Choice" 3

“The Choice” provides a variety of things to gaze at and relish in. From a ‘bromance’ whose flames are rekindled to a Cardinal showing the Sforzas how things get done, this episode does not skimp on excitement, intrigue, and unexpected revelations.

"...blonde ladies don't age well." Review: The Big C, S3 Ep. 305 "Face Off" 4

“Face Off” is not a completely light-hearted episode. There are a few humorous moments but overall, the episode tends to lean on the emotionally weighty side. Adam (Gabriel Basso) finally sounds off about his feelings regarding his parent’s decision to adopt a baby. It’s one of the refreshing reasons why I love The Big C. They don’t hold back on the real emotions when they write these scripts and the actors give wonderful performances as they convey a range of feelings – sadness, madness, happiness, frustration, guilt, and love.

Mr. Sandman, Bring Me A…Nightmare? Review: Lost Girl “Scream a Little Dream”

Mr. Sandman, Bring Me A...Nightmare? Review: Lost Girl "Scream a Little Dream" 5

The real nitty gritty of “Scream a Little Dream” is when Frank (Jason Blicker), a hotel doorman, asks Bo and Kenzi for help. It seems all the tenants in his hotel have gone mad. But Bo gets more than she bargained for when she gets tangled up with the sinister Dark Fae species known as The Mare. Connie, The Mare (Kristina Pesic), not only gives you nightmares, she feeds off the fear they provoke.

"...vengeance is patient. It can wait a lifetime..." Review: The Borgias "Stray Dogs" 6

After pulling off one of the grandest of ruses, Cesare (François Arnaud) gets bad news from his trusted abettor, the cunning and ruthless Micheletto (Sean Harris). Micheletto doesn’t think highly of himself, which is evident when he acknowledges Cesare as his “master” as if he were a “stray dog.” Cesare, however, seems very interested in finding more people like Micheletto – men who are not fearful of getting their hands filthy.

"I'm a better Willy Wanker..." Review: The Big C "Family Matters" 7

“…I’m the Steve Blow-Jobs and the Mark F**kerberg of the gay phone sex industry!” ~ Sean – How can you not want to read a review after reading a quote like that? If I could start out my review with LMFAO, I would but instead I’ll tell you that “Family Matters” is one of the funniest episodes I’ve seen in all the seasons of The Big C.

"Are these scrotum shaped pancakes?" Review: The Big C "Bundle of Joy" 8

“Bundle of Joy” is so much more than meeting another cancer survivor. Despite it being the main title, the joy I get comes from the hysterical antics of Sean (John Hickey) and his newfound calling – a gay sex phone operator.

A grand illusion and treacherous sibling rivalry - Review: The Borgias "The Beautiful Deception" 9

Pardon me while I pick my jaw up off the floor. Wow! “The Beautiful Deception” is exactly that – a beautiful and glorious ruse! The confidence and steel bravado Cesare (François Arnaud) exudes is magnificent. I literally was on the edge of my seat engrossed by the palpable confrontation between Cesare and King Charles (Michel Muller).

“…bound and whipped and ravaged.” Review: The Borgias – S2 “Paolo”

"...bound and whipped and ravaged." Review: The Borgias - S2 "Paolo" 10

Isn’t it funny how some people seem to get selective amnesia after a wine soaked tryst? It seems our dear Pope (Jeremy Irons) finds it difficult to remember whether he or his lovely mistress Giulia Farnase (Lotte Verbeek) invited the lovely Vittoria (Jemma West) to their holy bed chambers. The Pope thinks perhaps it was a dream, “We had a dream…that, uh, we were a trinity upon this bed last night.” Men – forever incorrigible it seems.

"...smuggling Diana Ross in her panties." Review: #TheBigC - S3 "What's Your Story?" 11

I love The Big C! It rings true to life because life isn’t always the white picket fence surrounding pristine flower gardens in the front yard. Paul blogs family secrets away, Cathy is getting drunk and arm wrestling, and Adam joins a bible group. Meanwhile, Sean and Andrea bond as he teaches her how to wrap an African head scarf.

Review: Justified - S3 Finale "Slaughterhouse" (Sometimes blood isn't thicker) #JustifiedFX 14

It’s a chaotic night as paramedics and fire trucks surround the scene outside of Boyd’s (Walton Goggins) bar where Duffy (Jere Burns) blew up the car Quarles (Neal McDonough) was driving. There are many moments of exciting tension throughout “Slaughterhouse,” but something is missing. And we finally get to see Limehouse’s “piggy bank.”

Review: The Borgias - S2 Premiere - "The Borgia Bull" (Poison, Sibling Rivalry, and a Threesome) 15

Beautiful, imaginative, and suggestive paintings sweep across the screen to Trevor Morris’ hauntingly melodic main theme making my heart flutter with delight. Tensions continue to strain the brotherly bond between Juan and Cesare; meanwhile is the Pope growing weary of his mistress, Giulia Farnase?

Review: The Big C - S3 - "Thin Ice" (bonfire of maxi pads and a wedding dress) 16

“Thin Ice” is funny, sarcastic, endearing, and a bit sorrowful. If this episode is any indication of what the season will bring, grab your Depends and defibrillators; it’s going to be one hell of a ride! And surprise! My theory – “wild hair variety” – about Paul’s (Oliver Platt) death was right!

Co-a-li-tion [koh-uh-lish-uhn] – noun. 1. A combination or alliance, especially a temporary one between persons, factions, states, etc.
If you were hoping for a stupendous coalition to ignite the slow simmering war, well you’re shit out of luck. After eagerly anticipating a climatic penultimate episode prior to the season finale, I am disappointed. All we get are too many people double crossing one another with a whole lot of stupidity running rampant.

““I don’t want anyone else’s hand on your body. I don’t want anyone’s mouth on yours…” ~ Dyson
Every week, we’re introduced to a new species of Fae, whether it be of the light or dark variety, and the cases seem to get a bit stranger, which suits me just fine. Bo and Dyson go undercover as husband and wife at the posh country club where the illegal immigrant staff seems to turn up missing more often than not.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus stars in HBO’s new comedy series VEEP. Former senator Selina Meyer (Dreyfus) was a rising star in her party, a charismatic leader who seemed to have unlimited potential. Some pundits thought she might even occupy the White House some day.

Then she became vice president.

Review: #JustifiedFX "Measures" (Not measuring up...but getting there) 22

While there are definitely some exciting moments that will become pivotal in the penultimate episode, overall, I am slightly disappointed in “Measures.” With only one episode left before the season finale, I hope the writers have something phenomenal in store for us. I think Duffy (Jere Burns) reaching out to Tonin to take over when Quarles is eliminated makes for an interesting twist; however, the other kink in the chain is actually getting to Quarles now that Boyd has him tied up, literally.

Review: #JustifiedFX "Guy Walks into a Bar" (...and the bartender says...) 23

While there are elements in “Guy Walks into a Bar” that nearly knock me on my ass with their audacity, there are also moments of mediocrity. In the end, I’m giving the episode four stars because of its surprising, bare naked ending. With the surprising ending and the mano a mano showdown between Quarles and Raylan, I really hope the last few episodes amp up the intensity and drama. Quite frankly, these little tidbits here and there are starting to piss me off.

To say I was excited to attend The Vampire Diaries panel at Paleyfest is an understatement. Being a fan of a show and then having the opportunity to see some of your favorite cast members up close is a thrill! Being able to see their sense of humor and personalities, aside from their characters, there isn’t anything better for a fan (except maybe to touch Ian Somerhalder or have him put his arm around you when you take a photo with him and confess your unquenchable lust…)

“There’s a war coming; you really wanna see Noble’s become a battleground?” ~ Raylan For a moment, I think of Game of Thrones.. But we are nowhere near Winterfell. I won’t lie and say I didn’t enjoy the episode however; I will be honest and say it left me wanting. It’s episode nine for Pete’s sake and I’m ready for the Quarles-Crowder-Givens-Limehouse battle to commence!
