Dream chaser extraordinaire! Judy tends to be a tad sarcastic and kind of goofy! She is an avid admirer of all things supernatural, paranormal, celestial and mystical. She loves to read, write, and watches way too much TV. She enjoys many genres of film and music (and let's be honest, most music from the 80s). She also has a wicked sweet tooth. Cupcakes beware.

Justified – “Fugitive Number One” Review. Take the Money and Run…or Not.

Justified – “Fugitive Number One” Review. Take the Money and Run...or Not. 1

Things are getting downright bloody in this final season of Justified. “Fugitive Number One” gives tragedy a new spin and loyalties are put to the ultimate test. The U.S. Marshals’ office and the District Attorney’s office are wondering what side Raylan (Timothy Olyphant) is truly on, causing the doubts and accusations to fly.

Castle – “Habeas Corpse” Recap. Taking a Bite Out of Crime. 2

When Richie “The Pitbull” Falco (Scott Broderick), a personal injury lawyer, is found tortured and bludgeoned to death in a dark alleyway, the list of suspects is quite extensive. Of all the companies he’s sued on behalf of his clients, more than one may be holding a grudge. But as evidence comes to light, it looks like there is more to our dogged (pun intended) seeker of justice.

Grimm – “Double Date” Retrospective. Winging It.

Grimm – “Double Date” Retrospective. Winging It. 3

If this week’s episodic quote isn’t cryptic enough, there are many other mysteries embedded within “Double Date” that will definitely make you go hmm. The title of this week’s Grimm is a bit misleading. Typically, double date implies two couples going out for the evening, but in “Double Date,” the meaning is more … well, it’s duplicitous to the nth degree.

Justified – “Trust” Review. Feminine Wiles, Indeed.

Justified – “Trust” Review. Feminine Wiles, Indeed. 5

Unpredictability – it’s a key ingredient for any good TV drama, and this final season of Justified seems to have it in spades. I’ve mulled over many plot points this season and I’m not sure who will be left standing in the end. I will say this; what Ava (Joelle Carter) does in “Trust” takes the damn cake. “Trust” is definitely a thought provoking and eyebrow raising episode. From Boyd revealing a little tidbit to Markham about how he came to know about his money to Ava taking matters into her own hands, “Trust” takes us for a wild ride …

Castle – “At Close Range” Recap. The Grassy Knoll…Sort of.

Castle – "At Close Range" Recap. The Grassy Knoll...Sort of. 6

For Castle fans who’ve been eagerly awaiting another Det. Kevin Ryan (Seamus Dever) centric episode, “At Close Range” is right up your alley. From politicians and political activists, to family drama via the in-laws, “At Close Range” takes a shot (pun intended) from inside a swanky fund raising event. But who’s the real target? Could it be the up and coming Congressman Alex Lopez (guest star Ricardo Chavira), or perhaps the kind-hearted philanthropic Carolyn Decker (Annie Little), whose ambitious foundation, “Pure Water,” is helping people on a global scale. Let’s find out, shall we?

Grimm – “Bad Luck” Review. Luck of the Draw. 8

“Bad Luck” presents us with an interesting case of the old superstition – if you carry a rabbit’s foot, you’ll have good luck. Well, not so much for the rabbits that lose their feet to help the rest of the world secure some good fortune. Throughout “Bad Luck,” we meet several new Wesen species, a “Willehara,” a rabbit like creature, and “Leporem Venators,” a raccoon like creature that knows how to wield an axe and play a creepy tune on a concertina. It seems Wesen couples who need help conceiving can purchase the foot of a Willehara to aid them with their fertility.

Justified – “Burned” Review. Snakes and Surprises.

Justified – “Burned” Review. Snakes and Surprises. 11

Just when I thought I had it all figured out, the writers blow me out of the water with a couple of new twists I didn’t see coming. I’ve been wondering why certain characters from seasons past have been reintroduced this season—for example,, the cunning teen pot queen Loretta McCready (Kaitlyn Dever). After watching “Burned,” the plot points of buying up land and the legalized marijuana story lines finally make more sense. But Avery Markham (Sam Elliott), a few men down after what happened in “Alive Day” and “Dark As a Dungeon,” enlists the help of one his Colorado guys to help out in Harlan. Let’s just say, I wouldn’t want to cross paths with or be the object of Boon’s (guest star Jonathan Tucker) eye, ever.

Justified – “Dark As a Dungeon” Recap. Old Ghosts and New Temptations.

Justified – “Dark As a Dungeon” Recap. Old Ghosts and New Temptations. 15

If saying I’m flummoxed would cover it, I would, but I’m beyond that now. I know I’ve said I’m intrigued by the capricious nature of the final season of Justified; however, some of the story lines are becoming a bit too convoluted. While I appreciate chasing down clues in “Dark As a Dungeon,” I’m not quite sure what is a clue and what isn’t. Needless to say, if you want unpredictability, you definitely get it in this episode.

Movie Trailer: Effie Gray Starring Dakota Fanning, Emma Thompson, Julie Walters, Tom Sturridge and Robbie Coltrane 16

In her original screenplay EFFIE GRAY, Emma Thompson takes a bold look at the real life story of the Effie Gray-John Ruskin marriage, while courageously exposing what was truly hiding behind the veil of their public life. Set in a time when neither divorce, nor gay marriage were an option, EFFIE GRAY is the story of a young woman coming of age, finding her own voice in a world where women were expected to be seen but not heard. EFFIE GRAY explores the roots of sexual intolerance, which continue to have a stronghold today, while shedding light on the marital politics of the Victorian Era.

Well, the train has left the station. The aftermath of what happened in “Alive Day” carries over into “The Hunt” where there is more than one type of hunting going on. Justified – “Alive Day” Review. The Unknown Unknown.

Justified – “Alive Day” Review. The Unknown Unknown. 21

We are at the mid-point of the final season of Justified and I’m no closer to figuring out the end game. I am sure all the major story arcs intertwine more deeply than what has been presented, but surprisingly, I’m not upset about the lack of clues. In fact, I’m enjoying the unpredictability of how the season has been panning out. I don’t know what’s going to happen next and I’m relishing in the unknown.

Castle – “The Wrong Stuff” Recap. Lost in Space Suits.

Castle – “The Wrong Stuff” Recap. Lost in Space Suits. 22

“The Wrong Stuff” is a much needed departure from the tension and is a fun, entertaining, and Castle-esque episode. When a case arises involving Major Tom Richwood (Yves Bright), a murdered astronaut on a “Mars 2018” space simulation, the only way Beckett, Castle, and Esposito (Jon Huertas) are allowed to question the other astronauts is to don space suits. While Castle thinks this is “the best case ever,” Ryan (Seamus Dever) isn’t as enthusiastic about stepping onto Mars, fake or not, so he stays behind in the command center to conduct other aspects of the investigation.

Throughout season two, Sleepy Hollow has taken us on an adventurous, albeit tumultuous, journey filled with mystery, intrigue, doubt, and betrayal.
