Dream chaser extraordinaire! Judy tends to be a tad sarcastic and kind of goofy! She is an avid admirer of all things supernatural, paranormal, celestial and mystical. She loves to read, write, and watches way too much TV. She enjoys many genres of film and music (and let's be honest, most music from the 80s). She also has a wicked sweet tooth. Cupcakes beware.

Review: THE CHANGELING – Apple TV+ New Drama Is Extraordinarily Perplexing

The Changeling - Apple TV+ - LaKeith Stanfield Key art

If you are looking for something complex, diverse, and completely perplexing to dive into, then watch Apple TV+ “The Changeling.” As described in the synopsis, this is a “fairytale for grown-ups…a horror story…” and while there are some very scary elements, I would say it’s a more cautionary tale that leads to horrific situations. There is also a fantastical element in “The Changeling” which takes the viewer on a journey through New York City like many may never know.

CITY ON FIRE Review – Apple TV+ Hypnotic Music Driven Mystery Full of Intrigue

City on Fire - key art - Apple TV+

City On Fire delivers a hypnotic, music driven mystery full of intrigue, scandal, and a plethora of drama. Set in New York City circa 2003, the synopsis provides a condensed overview of the series; however, it barely scratches the surface which is a veritable iceberg made up of decades of familial dysfunction, power-hungry social climbers, and drug fueled bitterness. The slow-burn first episode lays the massive foundation for a cornucopia of multi-layered story arcs that are connected like six-degrees of separation and manipulation.

THE ARK Season 01 - Official Key Art - SYFY

Review: Astrid & Lilly Save the World Series Premiere “Tontoom” – Freakishly Good!

ASTRID & LILLY SAVE THE WORLD - Tontoom - Syfy 002

Astrid & Lilly Save the World is a delightfully fun, entertaining, and quirky new comedy. Everyone has a different story of how high school went for them. For those of us with mixed emotions, Astrid & Lilly Save the World comes in and shakes up the notion that the presumed “cool kids” really aren’t as awesome as you remember, and that the misfits or “freaky” kids weren’t really that odd.

Movie Review: IFC Films’ Monday Starring Sebastian Stan, Denise Gough – Sumptuous and Authentic

MONDAY-Movie-2021-IFC-Films-movie-poster-key-art

Monday is a masterful and sumptuous film that looks into the soul of the fiery passion of love and lust with an unfiltered gaze. Stan and Gough set the screen ablaze with their sensuous chemistry. With rom-coms a plenty out there giving us all a happy-ending, IFC Films’ drama-romance Monday, starring Sebastian Stan and Denise Gough isn’t just another romance wrapped up in a pretty bow. The intrusive look at how a one-nightstand turned relationship evolves rings very true for those who’ve experienced it.

Review: Resident Alien Season 1 Finale, “Heroes of Patience” – Unexpected Delight

Resident Alien - Syfy

The inaugural season of Resident Alien has been an absolute joy to watch. I am beyond thrilled for the second season, especially with the interesting cliffhanger the writers gave us in the season finale, “Heroes of Patience.” And if you think the ending is bit perplexing, the beginning of this episode shook me to my core. It begs the question, what else did the human Harry Vanderspeigle (Alan Tudyk) do before he met his own demise?

Recap: Resident Alien S01, Ep. 9 “Welcome Aliens” – Christopher Columbus of the Sky

Resident Alien - Syfy

“Welcome Aliens” begins with the quintessential alien abduction…of sorts. 30 years ago, a young couple board a city bus; the woman is very pregnant. Before I spoil it immediately, I have a theory about this. And there is still the whole matter of Harry’s (Alan Tudyk) leg being “chopped off” in last week’s “End of the World As We Know It.”
